Abstract: A portable energy-saving and environment-friendly electric vehicle is light in weight, small in volume, convenient in electricity charging, and can be disassembled for portability in a backpack. The backpack is further furnished with a crank-handle generator to enable manpower electricity generation and working out simultaneously. This energy-saving and environment-friendly electric vehicle is mainly comprised of two adjustable skateboards and a support rod for adjusting speed and connecting a battery set. The battery set can be conveniently replaced roadside or at other locations. In a situation of power loss, manpower can be used to charge the battery set. Thus, the situation of power loss fully disabling the electric vehicle can be met. In addition, the battery set associated with the generator is reliable for charging mobile phones and computers.

Abstract: A foot-deck-based vehicle, a front wheel support, and at least one accessory therefor are provided. The foot-deck-based vehicle having a foot-deck with a front end, a rear end, and at least one rear wheel proximal to the rear end. The foot-deck-based vehicle has a front wheel support comprising a pair of wheel interfaces, each of which is couplable to a front wheel, a main body extending between the wheel interfaces and coupled to the foot-deck, and at least one recess in the main body. At least one accessory is snugly securable within the at least one recess of the front wheel support, wherein the main body has a first stiffness when the at least one accessory is removed from the at least one recess, and has a second stiffness that is greater than the first stiffness when the at least one accessory is snugly secured within the at least one recess, wherein the first stiffness and the second stiffness are resistances to bending under a bending load applied to the front wheel support through the foot-deck when the foot-deck supports a person.

Abstract: In an aspect, a tire for use with a single wheel, self-balancing vehicle is provided. The tire has a tire body with a tread configured for engagement with a ground surface. The tread has a lateral profile having a central region, a first lateral region tapering towards a first lateral side of the tire, and a second lateral region tapering towards a second lateral side of the tire. The lateral profile is substantially free of discontinuity. The tread has a non-directional tread groove arrangement that is asymmetrical about a central circumference line of the tire. The tire has a hardness selected to substantially prevent deformation of the first profile and the second profile during riding by a rider.

Abstract: A hoverboard is described. The hoverboard includes four hover engines each including a motor. The motor rotates an arrangement of magnets to induce eddy currents and generate magnetic lift which causes the hoverboard to hover in the air. The hoverboard can be tilted to propel it in a particular direction. The hover engines can each be coupled to a tilt mechanism which is coupled to a flexible rider platform. When rider platform is flexed via rider induced forces, the hover engines can be tilted individually to provide translational forces.
