The segments are connectable to one another and connectable to a prosthetic support apparatus that may be adorned by the user. Some segments may provide movement about more than one axis using a single actuator. The prosthetic arm apparatus may include a user interface incorporated therein and may include one or more communication systems for communicating with external devices.

摘要: An improved method of determining prosthetic alignment utilizes a system which includes multiple movable laser units and an integrated scale to measure angles and other variables of an uninjured leg of a patient based on anatomical landmarks, compare those to angles and variables of an amputated side, and make adjustments to a prosthetic device utilized for the amputated side based on the comparison to ensure proper alignment. For example, the amount of tilt to the side of the prosthetic socket, the amount of tilt to the front and back of the prosthetic socket, the amount of tilt of the prosthetic foot on the sagittal plane, the displacement of the prosthetic foot on the sagittal plane, the rotation of the prosthetic foot on the transverse plane, and the height of the prosthetic device can thereby be adjusted based on measured parameters of the uninjured leg to ensure proper alignment.

摘要: An apparatus in an example comprises a manipulator, a force sensor, a signal modulator, and a visual indicator. The manipulator is employed by a user. The force sensor determines a force signal from a force applied by the manipulator on a part of an environment of the user. The signal modulator is adjustable by the user to select a switch point for the visual indicator based on relative fragility of the part of the environment. The signal modulator employs the force signal and the switch point to control the visual indicator for the user.

摘要: A method of generating a touch signal corresponding to a state of a subject, the method including, receiving, from a foot of the subject, multiple wavelength signals corresponding to an applied plantar pressure based on the state of the subject. The method further includes receiving, using channels of a BCI mounted on the subject's head, a plurality of EEG signals (brain signals) that corresponds with wavelength signals. The method further includes transmitting EEG signals to train a classifier to identify a correlation between EEG signals and wavelength signals. The method further includes selecting a subsection of channels with high correlation with wavelength signals. The method further includes forming a secondary dataset by combining the subsection of channels with wavelength signals. The secondary dataset is passed to train a ML model to generate the touch signal corresponding to the subject's state that is relayed to a lower limb prosthesis.

摘要: A prosthesis that can be actuated by external force includes a prosthesis shaft and an exoprosthesis with at least one prosthesis motor that can be activated by a prosthesis control device and a joint. The prosthesis control device includes a housing, a microcontroller and display device, so that a gripping process can be replicated by the prosthesis motor controllable by the prosthesis control device and parameters of the gripping process are displayed on a display, in which case recording and evaluation of the electromyography signals are dispensed with. The display displays the chosen parameters of an imminent gripping process and the prosthesis control device includes an input device by which a desired gripping force and/or gripping time can be actively set on the microcontroller before performance of the gripping process by a prosthesis wearer directly on the prosthesis control device and can be readjusted during the gripping process.

摘要: A prosthetic limb including a plurality of segments that provide a user of the prosthetic limb with substantially the same movement capability and function as a human arm. The segments are connectable to one another and connectable to a prosthetic support apparatus. The prosthetic limb includes a controller and at least one antenna in connection with the controller for transmitting and receiving signals, the at least one antenna including a housing of a segment of the prosthetic limb as a radiating element. The prosthetic limb further including a user interface incorporated therein and one or more communication systems for communicating with external devices. The user interface is integrally formed in the housing and includes a status indicator for displaying information. A flexible protective cover is disposed around a portion of the housing and covers the user interface, the flexible protective cover includes a translucent portion over the status indicator.
