摘要: The invention relates to a wrist prosthesis (1), comprising a proximal prosthesis body (21) and a distal prosthesis body (11), wherein, at least in a deployed state of the wrist prosthesis, a portion of the proximal prosthesis body that faces away from the distal prosthesis body is provided with a convexly curved surface (22). Additionally, a portion of the distal prosthesis body that faces away from the proximal prosthesis body is furthermore provided with a convexly curved surface (12). Furthermore, the surfaces of the proximal prosthesis body and the distal prosthesis body that are facing each other are provided with complementary convex-concave curved surfaces (13, 23). The invention further relates to a set of components for such a wrist prosthesis, which allows the wrist prosthesis to be placed in a wrist, without anchoring means, and with a high degree of adaptation to the specific situation.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a modular assembly for an arthroplasty in a long bone and methods for achieving an anatomically accurate reconstruction. A modular arthroplasty assembly includes the components of: a convertible offset coupler bounded on a first side by an implant surface adapted to receive an implant component, and bounded on an opposite second side by a bone anchor engagement surface, prosthesis component and a bone anchor configured to be inserted in bone and adapted for engagement with the convertible offset coupler. Together, the components of the system, including the array of selectable engagement orientations of the components, enables adaptation to the existing anatomy of the patient and the ability to most closely achieve the native anatomy of the healthy shoulder joint so as to provide the patient with the most natural use of the joint. The system also provides a solution for reverse arthroplasty and conversion from anatomically correct to reverse that avoids a boney procedure on revision and minimizes humeral distalization.

摘要: An implant for carpal hemiarthroplasty includes an articular component having a convex articular surface shaped to generally conform to an unresected distal end of a radius bone. A bearing component is rigidly fixed to the articular component opposite the convex articular surface and has a bearing surface. A carpal plate is rotatably attachable to the bearing component and has a proximal surface and a distal surface. The proximal surface has a contour that substantially conforms to the bearing surface.

摘要: A multi-component ankle joint assembly incorporated into reconditioned end surfaces established between an upper tibia bone and an opposing and lower talus bone. A first component is anchored into the upper tibia reconditioned end surface and exhibits a first exposed support surface. A second component is anchored into the lower talus reconditioned end surface of and exhibits a second exposed support surface. A spherical shaped intermediate component is supported in at least one of eccentric or rotational fashion between the first and second anchored components. The spherical shaped component includes a multi-layer composition having a softer outer layer and at least one harder interior layer establishing an eccentric rotational interface therebetween.
