    Abstract: Sound attenuation devices are provided that may be temporarily worn in a person's ear. The devices generally include a first flange that is configured to be disposed in a person's ear; a second flange that is positioned proximate to the first flange and is also configured to be disposed in the person's ear (with the second flange having a proximate end that exhibits an oblong perimeter); and a cylindrical shaft extending from an interior portion of the second flange. The shaft includes an integrally connected pull tab; it extends beyond the proximate end of the second flange; and the shaft includes an integrally formed reinforcing member that spans an exterior side of the shaft and at least a portion of the pull tab. The devices further include a sound filter disposed within an internal cavity of the shaft.

    Abstract: An ear plug earbud tip device is provided. The device is comprised of an inner core positioned within an outer body, wherein the inner core has an opening that receives and mechanically snaps onto a tip of an earbud and allows sound to flow through the inner core and into the ear of a user. The inner core is surrounded by an outer body that surrounds an earbud body. The outer surface of the outer body may be comprised of a protrusion that secures the body within the ear of a user. During use, the shape of the device eliminates or reduces harmful background noise from entering the ear canal of a user.

    Abstract: The application discloses an eartip, an earphone device, an earphone housing and a hearbud housing device. The eartip can include an outer portion, an inner portion, and an encapsulated volume formed by the inner and outer portion, wherein the outer portion is designed to contact the ear canal, and wherein the inner portion is designed to fit upon a stent. In an alternative embodiment, the airtip can include an inverted body, wherein when the inverted body is at least partially folded on itself the inverted body is arranged to include a bulbous region sized for insertion in an ear canal, a cavity internal to the bulbous region that holds a gas, where increasing pressure on the bulbous region releases a portion of the gas.

    Abstract: A foam earplug for reception at least partially within the ear canal and including a body portion formed of resilient foam plastic material having a multiple open cell structure and having a size and shape for at least partial reception within the ear canal. A transdermal material having a particular beneficial action, and with an outer layer of the foam earplug infused with the transdermal material so that the benefits of the transdermal material is in transdermal contact with the ear canal. One example is a humectant material and, specifically, a moisturizer/lubricating material, for providing an increase to the lubrication and moisturizing in the ear canal. A second example is where the beneficial action is provided by systemic distribution such as a sleep aid, i.e., Melatonin, so that when the earplugs are worn during sleep, the earplugs will provide a sleep aid to the wearer.

    Abstract: Apparatus for protection of the ear and ear canal, and related methods of use and operation. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a selectively actuated valve which permits a varying or modulated size of aperture to be created by the wearer while the apparatus is in use, so as to accommodate varying functions, such as complete occlusion (e.g., for use in swimming or other acquatic activities such that water can be completely excluded) or partial occlusion (e.g., such that sounds can be heard by the wearer, whether in air or under water). In one implementation, the apparatus is retained within the ear canal of the wearer by virtue of the apparatus' shape and coordination with one or more natural features or contours of the anatomy in the ear region, without having to be inserted more than superficially into the outer portion of the ear canal.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an in-ear earplug structure, which comprises a hollow support body, wherein a sound hole is opened at a front end of the support body, an outer side of the support body is provided with at least two soft umbrella-shaped plug bodies, the support body and the umbrella-shaped plug bodies are integrally molded, a speaker unit is provided in the support body, a preset spacing is formed between the speaker unit and the sound hole, a rear sound cavity is formed in the support body, the rear sound cavity is located on the rear side of the speaker unit, and a through hole which is in communication with the rear sound cavity is opened at a side part of the support body. In the above structure, when the earplug is worn on an ear, the hard feeling caused by the earplug is greatly reduced, and the wearing comfort is effectively improved. Also, this makes the umbrella-shaped plug body better fit an ear canal, thereby improving the sound insulation effect. In addition, the support body and the umbrella-shaped plug bodies can be integrally processed and molded, making the earplug easier to manufacture and low in cost, which satisfies the needs of users and the market well.

    Abstract: An earbud includes a connection member, a regulating valve, an earbud body and a bladder. The connection member includes opposite first and second ends and defines a through hole extending through the first end and the second end. The regulating valve defines a flow channel therein and incudes a connection end and a working end. The connection end is tightly connected to the connection member, and the working end defines a flat adjustment opening. The flow channel communicates with the through hole of the connection member. The earbud body is mounted around the regulating valve and connected tightly to the connection member or the regulating valve. The earbud body defines a first cavity therein, and the bladder is tightly connected to the connection member and defines a second cavity for containing fluid therein. The second cavity communicates with the through hole of the connection member.
