Abstract: In an ophthalmology system, an right-eye imaged image is displayed on a display section for presentation to an observer through an optical unit and a reflection member. A left-eye imaged image is also displayed on a display section for presentation to an observer through an optical unit and a reflection member. A separation between the left and right imaged images is made wider than a spacing between the left and right optical units. This enables image presentation with the optical axes for the observer viewing the images intersecting in front so as to cause a convergence angle to arise.

Abstract: A slit lamp microscope of some embodiment examples includes an illumination system, first photographing system, first movement mechanism, and controller. The illumination system includes a slit forming unit that forms a slit for generating slit light and projects the slit light onto an anterior segment of a subject's eye from a first direction. The first photographing system photographs the anterior segment onto which the slit light is being projected, from a second direction different from the first direction. The first movement mechanism moves a movable portion that includes at least the slit forming unit. The controller performs a first control for the first movement mechanism to move the movable portion and a second control for the first photographing system to photograph the anterior segment a plurality of times in parallel with each other.

Abstract: A controller of an ophthalmic apparatus finely drives and roughly drives a drive unit of an optometry unit. In a case where a tilt operation of tilting the operation stick within a predetermined range is detected by an operation detection unit, the controller finely drives the drive unit by controlling the drive unit in response to the detected tilt operation, and finely changes a position of the optometry unit. In a case where at least one of a tilt operation of tilting the operation stick over a predetermined range and an operation of a rough movement operation unit is detected by the operation detection unit, the controller roughly drives the drive unit by controlling the drive unit in response to the detected operation, and roughly changes the position of the optometry unit.

Abstract: Imaging various regions of the eye is important for both clinical diagnostic and treatment purposes as well as for scientific research. Diagnosis of a number of clinical conditions relies on imaging of the various tissues of the eye. The subject technology describes a method and apparatus for imaging of the back and/or front of the eye using multiple illumination modalities, which permits the collection of one or more of reflectance, spectroscopic, fluorescence, and laser speckle contrast images.

Abstract: Examination of the structure and function of blood vessels is an important means of monitoring the health of a subject. Such examination can be important for disease diagnoses, monitoring specific physiologies over the short- or long-term, and scientific research. This disclosure describes technology and various embodiments of a system and method for imaging blood vessels and the intra-vessel blood flow, using at least laser speckle contrast imaging, with high speed so as to provide a rapid estimate of vessel-related or blood flow-related parameters.

Abstract: A device and computer program for determining the spherocylindrical refraction of an eye are disclosed. A component having adjustable optics is provided, the refractive power of which can be adjusted via a refractive power adjustment device. The spherocylindrical refraction is then determined from the adjustment of the refractive power adjustment device at different orientations of a typical direction of the optics or a typical direction of eye test characters.
