摘要: A process and an activation device (30) provides a user (B) activation of a drug measuring device (100). This drug measuring device includes an input unit (3), a testing unit (6) for testing given samples and an image recording device (12). The activation device (30) receives an activation image set (InB), which was generated by the drug measuring device or by a drug measuring device and at least one image (40, 40.1) from the image recording device. The received activation image set is checked as to meeting a predefined release criterion. For this the activation image set is compared with a predefined reference image set (35) for the user. If the release criterion is met, the drug measuring device is released for the user. An activation data set (32) for the user is completed by at least one image of the activation image set, which shows the user.

摘要: The present invention relates to a mind-altering substance testing unit. The unit includes a display module for displaying an indication of a drug or alcohol. A sensor module is releasably fastened to the display module and includes sensors for sensing the drug and alcohol. The unit also includes a sample cartridge for receiving a sample and for releasably fastening to the sensor module so that the sensor module can sense the drug. Advantageously, the same testing unit can be used to sense alcohol and the drug avoiding the need for separate testing units.

摘要: A device for determining the presence and/or quantity of one or more analytes in a sample of human body fluid has a container for receiving a sample of body fluid, with an interior that is delimited by a base and by a circumferential surface. It further comprises at least one test strip and a holding element for receiving and holding the one or more test strips. The holding element is designed such that it has a shape corresponding and adapted to the peripheral circumferential surface of the container. The device further comprises an elongate sampling element having an absorbent sampler that takes up the sample of body fluid and by means of which the sample of body fluid is transferred into the container. The sampling element can include an indicator strip for determining whether the amount of liquid sample sufficient for carrying out an assay.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to systems and methods for monitoring and/or providing feedback for drugs or other pharmaceuticals taken by a subject. In one aspect, the present invention is directed to devices and methods for determining a species within the skin of a subject; and producing feedback to a subject based on the determination of the species. The feedback may be, for example, visual, audible, tactile, a change in temperature, etc. In some cases, information regarding the determination of the species may be transmitted to another entity, e.g., a health care provider, a computer, a relative, etc., which may then provide feedback to the subject in some fashion. In some cases, the feedback may be directly indicative of the species, e.g., whether the species is present, the concentration of the species, whether a by-product of a reaction involving the species is present, whether a compound affected by the species is present, etc. However, the feedback may also be indirect in some embodiments. For example, the subject may be presented with an external reward, e.g., based on the determination of the species within the skin. For instance, a reward such as cash, coupons, songs, discounts, personal items, etc., may be offered based on the level of compliance of the subject. Still other aspects of the invention are generally directed to kits involving such devices (with or without the drug to be monitored), methods of promoting such systems, or the like.
