    摘要： A system and control method are provided for authenticating a paper product dispensed from a dispenser. The paper product formation is loaded into the dispenser, the formation having an identification mark engraved into a surface thereof. Within the dispenser, incident light is directed onto the surface and a digital image of the surface is captured. The engraved identification mark produces a recognizable authentication signature in the digital image as compared to surrounding surface of the paper product formation. The captured digital image is analyzed for presence of the authentication signature, and if the authentication signature is not present, the paper product formation is deemed unauthorized and a responsive action is initiated.

    摘要： An electronic sheet product dispenser includes a support for a roll of sheet product having a reference indication, a sensor, a battery, a feed mechanism, and a processor. The sensor is responsive to detect the reference indication on the roll, wherein the reference indication is associated with authorized use of the sheet product in the dispenser. The processor is responsive to executable instructions when executed on the processor for performing the method of: determining whether an unauthorized sheet product is disposed in the dispenser, and enabling an unauthorized roll procedure in response to presence of an unauthorized sheet product being detected; and, in response to receiving a low battery warning of the battery, and conditional on an unauthorized roll procedure being enabled, disabling the unauthorized roll procedure and proceeding with responding to a product dispense request to dispense the sheet product out of the dispenser on command.

Additional exemplary embodiments are also provided in which the sensor operates through optical detection, smell, physical contact with the product, or vibration instead of or in addition to the completion of an electrical circuit.

    摘要： The end piece for a roll of wiping material comprises a cylindrical bearing surface tightly fitted into a core that supports the roll, a transverse flange that protrudes from the cylindrical bearing surface and rests against an opposite-facing surface of the core and the roll, and an axially extending neck that has a head with an internal hole and a hollowed-out section forming a guide groove. The hollowed-out section is located between the head and the cylindrical bearing surface. The head and part of the hollowed-out section are deformable and internally provided with a hole that creates deliberate fragility facilitating, by crushing, their deformation as the core and the end piece are extracted from an accommodating side plate. After the core and end piece have been extracted, the head of the end piece is, in its final state, permanently deformed and cannot be reused.

    摘要： Disclosed is a sanitary or no-touch dispenser which dispenses sheets of a web material, such as a paper towel. The disclosed dispenser provides the web material to a user by using both manual and electronic means to dispense the sheet. This is accomplished by having a motor engagably connected to an actuator roller. The motor is activated by a motor activation means, such as a switch. The motion of the actuator roller, which is started by the user grabbing and pulling a tail of the web material extending from the dispenser, causes the motor activation means to activate the motor which in turn drives the actuator roller to continue it its rotation motion to dispense the sheet from the dispenser.
