摘要： A rolled product dispenser for dispensing a web of rolled product is described. The rolled product dispenser comprises a dispensing assembly, a return mechanism, and a blocking mechanism. The dispensing assembly includes a rotating drum assembly having a peripheral wall configured to be contoured at least partially by the web of rolled product. The rotating drum assembly is rotatable in a dispensing rotation direction and a counter dispensing rotation direction along at least 90 degrees. The return mechanism biases the rotating drum towards a stationary configuration by rotating same in the counter dispensing rotation direction. The blocking mechanism is engageable with the rotating drum assembly to prevent rotation thereof in the counter dispensing rotation direction beyond at least one predetermined angular position.

The dispenser has a housing with a holder arrangement for receiving the roll, the holder arrangement providing a roll rotational axis about which the roll is arranged to rotate when dispensing the web. The dispenser has a drive roller extending in a direction substantially parallel to the roll rotational axis. The dispenser has an engaging roller extending substantially parallel to the drive roller. The drive roller and the engaging roller are arranged so as to define a dispensing passage therebetween for the web. The roll of web is arranged to be biased against the drive roller. The drive roller is arranged such that a dispensing end of the web is adapted to be led from the roll over the drive roller through the dispensing passage and to frictionally engage with the drive roller and the engaging roller.

摘要： A two-roll toilet paper dispenser automatically transfers a new roll into dispensing position once the previous roll is spent or nearly spent. A spring-loaded plate senses the decreasing diameter of the first roll, and once it reaches a predetermined minimum, actuates a linkage that permits a mandrel carrying the two rolls to drop down within the dispenser body and position the second roll for dispensing. The mandrel and track structure permits reloading the dispenser without removing the mandrel. The rolls of toilet paper have adapter plugs in one end only, to ensure that the rolls are placed in the correct orientation within the dispenser.

摘要： A dispenser for sheet material such as paper towels. The paper towels are provided in a continuous roll. The roll is mounted within an enclosure above a drum. The drum contains a cutting assembly that moves between a retracted position and a cutting position. The cutting assembly cuts the sheet material when in the cutting position. The sheet material frictionally engages the drum such that pulling the sheet material out of the enclosure causes the drum to turn. The turning of the drum causes the cutting assembly to move between the retracted and cutting positions once every revolution of the drum. More specifically, a guide projection is formed on the cutting assembly, and a track assembly is formed on the enclosure. The guide projection engages the track assembly to cause the cutting assembly to move between the retracted and cutting positions.

摘要： A dispensing cabinet for strip material, such as paper towel, has a relatively large handwheel extending through a slot in the front face. A roll of the material is engaged by a boss member on the wheel so as to be rotated by rotation of the handwheel. The edge of the handwheel is provided with radially-extending protrusions constituting both finger engaging members to help the user rotate the handwheel and ratchet teeth engageable by a ratchet member mounted on a pivoted plate mounted adjacent the horizontal cabinet slot through which the strip is dispensed. The ratchet member is normally clear of the ratchet teeth, but any attempt to pull the strip from the roll engages the ratchet member with a tooth so that the roll cannot rotate; the strip can therefore only be dispensed by operation of the handwheel, reducing the tendency to dispense a wastefully long strip. The dispensed portion is torn from the remainder of the roll by pulling it strongly against the lower edge of the plate, which also engages the ratchet so that the roll cannot rotate during the tearing operation.

The dispenser feeds sheet material sequentially and comprises a cabinet with first and second roll stations and a feed mechanism to feed sheet material from the rolls to a dispensing opening. The feed mechanism has a gripping roller, and a pressure plate pressed against the roller to provide a feed passage between the roller and plate, a feed mechanism rotates the gripping roller, the sheet material from one roll station is retained in the feed passage while sheet material from the other roll station is dispensed. When the sheet material from one roll station is exhausted, the feed mechanism automatically dispenses sheet material from the other station.
