The method includes recording one or more previous oral care sessions and identifying one or more oral care habits based on the recorded one or more previous oral care sessions. Feedback is generated for encouraging the user to adjust an oral care habit of the one or more oral care habits and the user is provided with the feedback during a subsequent oral care session.

摘要： A toothbrush device is disclosed comprising a motion sensor for sensing motion of the device to produce motion data and a signal analysis unit for analysing the motion data to produce brushing data. A light communication module is arranged to transmit the brushing data to an external device using a light source. This can allow the brushing data to be transmitted without the need to provide a radio frequency transmission module and/or using a light source which also provides visual feedback to the user. The external device may comprise a camera arranged to produce image data, and a processor arranged to process an image of the light source to obtain the brushing data.

The heads interface with a conventional handpiece so that the facial brush or other facial treatment head can be removed and replaced with a head chosen from a group of treatment heads. The handpiece has a sealed, washable head portion that can be activated to rotate. Each treatment head or treatment assembly includes a torque transfer clip that provides biasing force between the handpiece and the head, but at the same time results in additional vibration being transferred from the vibration generator in the handpiece to the treatment head. The torque transfer clip also allows for some flex between the treatment head and the handpiece.

摘要： Various operational mode arrangements of an electric toothbrush (10) include pre-programming a controller portion (16) of the electric toothbrush such that a single brushing event of approximately two minutes comprises automatically at least two different operating modes and specified times for each mode. Another operational mode includes the capability of operating the on/off button (20) of the toothbrush within a specified short time following termination of a normal brushing event to provide the user a specified additional time, e.g. 30 seconds of toothbrush action. A special toothbrush interface arrangement includes a display (80) which encourages children to maintain brushing for the full brushing period. This is accomplished through sequential illustration of the progress of an article from an initial state to a final desired state as the toothbrush is used for increasing portions of a full brushing time period. In another embodiment, a toothbrush (120) includes a capability of adjusting the performance/operating characteristics in accordance with the age of a child user.
