    摘要: The present invention provides a dithering and directional modulation-based frame rate conversion apparatus comprising: a directional delta modulation generator configured to receive a plurality of input color data representing a plurality of input color components of an input pixel color and generate a plurality of modulated data for the plurality of input color data respectively; and a plurality of dithering modules configured to perform K-bit dithering conversion on the plurality of input color data respectively to generate a plurality of output color data for representing a plurality of output color components of an output pixel color with a color depth of K bits per component, where K is an integer equal to or great than 1. The present invention can allow display to support frame rates higher than its standard configuration without observable color depth degradation.

    摘要: In a display panel, drivers for driving LEDs of pixels are distributed over a substrate, and transceivers relay pixel data from a timing controller to the drivers. The drivers are divided into groups. Respective drivers in a group receive corresponding pixel data addressed thereto solely from one corresponding transceiver. The corresponding transceiver and the respective drivers are daisy-chained to form one first linear daisy chain, where each pair of immediately-adjacent first drivers are connected. Plural first linear daisy chains are formed for all groups. The transceivers are daisy-chained to form a second linear daisy chain by connecting each pair of immediately-adjacent transceivers. The first and second linear daisy chains form a fishbone topology network to enable transmission of pixel data from the timing controller to the drivers while reducing a data-line footprint on the substrate that mounts the pixels, driver and transceivers in comparison to a conventional star-topology network.

    摘要: A touch-sensing-enabled display module is provided. In the module, a display panel has an electroluminescent layer, such as an organic light emitting diode (OLED) layer, sandwiched between cathode electrodes and anode electrodes. The anode electrodes transmit touch-sensing signals induced at the display panel. The MSN performs multiplexing and summing on the touch-sensing signals to produce output-channel signals for touch sensing. The multiplexing and the summing are reconfigurable such that the touch-sensing signals are dynamically selected for summing to produce one or more output-channel signals. A touch controller measures the output-channel signals to generate touch data. The module further includes a display driver for driving the cathode and anode electrodes. By using the MSN, the display panel is able to provide adaptive sensor reconfiguration. One particular advantage of adaptive sensor reconfiguration is that the signal-to-noise ratio of a touch signal is improved, increasing accuracy in touch detection.

    摘要: A level shifter circuit for translating input signal to output signal is disclosed. The level shifter includes an input stage and a latch stage. The latch stage comprises at least a transistor characterized in a substantially matched transconductance with the input stage for preventing a discrete realization of a voltage clamp circuit. The transistor is a semiconductor device including a source region having a source doping region and a drain region having a first doping region and a second doping region. The first doping region is doped with a first conductivity impurity. The second doping region is disposed around the first doping region so as to surround the first doping region, and is doped with a second conductivity impurity. The second doping region has a higher on-resistance than the first doping region, thereby a high resistive series path is created by the second doping region to mimic an embedded resistor.

    摘要: Disclosed is a system and method of an adaptive driving compensation for enhancing display uniformity. Multiple input data patterns of the display panel are compared with image data by an image analyzing means or a user and thereby generate display control commands if non-uniformity in the display of image is detected by the image analyzing means or the user. A difference between pixel data associated with a current line and a preceding line is compared with a predefined threshold. A look up table (LUT) is scanned to add a compensation value on the pixel data the current line based upon the display control commands if the difference between the pixel data of the current line and the preceding line is greater than the predefined threshold or otherwise retain the original value of the said pixel data. The input data patterns with compensated pixel data or original pixel data is displayed.
