摘要: Novel methods of fabricating porous structures (e.g., nanostructures) and resulting structures are disclosed. The novel methods use precision optics to cure a slurry made from one or more powders mixed with photopolymers. Pore size control preferably is achieved by controlling the powder size and powder loading in the slurry. As the disclosed methods are based on optics to control the thickness preferably without any mechanical movements, extreme tight thickness tolerance, as well as control of the profile structure, may be achieved. The novel disclosed methods are highly-cost effective with shorter manufacturing cycle time compared to conventional methods. Moreover, a supporting substrate may not be required as the resultant structure made by the novel fabrication techniques disclosed herein has enough strength to be free-standing.

摘要: A method and a system provide regional content to users by associating data files with geographical properties and matching the geographical property of a data file with the geographical property of the user. The system extracts geographical information from a data file, and associates the data file with a source geographical property corresponding to the extracted geographical information according to a geographical information database. Upon obtaining a user geographical property of a user, the system provides the data file to the user if the source geographical property matches the user geographical property. The method and the system may be implemented using a geographical name lexicon or a geographical name suffix lexicon.

The invention relates to the field of stacking systems in data communication, and the problem of a topology discovery error caused by different starting times of switching equipments is solved. The method comprises the following steps: Step 1, when any one of the following two requirements is met, the switching equipment turns to Step 2, otherwise, the switching equipment executes the Step 1 again, wherein the first one of the two requirements is that the current time exceeds a predetermined time, which is the time for the initialization of all the switching equipments in the stacking system; and the second one of the two requirements is that the switching equipment receives a topology discovery message from another switching equipment in the stacking system; Step 2, the switching equipment sends topology discovery messages to all the other switching equipments in the stacking system; and Step 3, the switching equipment performs a topology discovery. The invention can be applied to a stacking system where switching equipments have different starting times.

摘要: A method determines core geographical information in a document by computing a score for each geographical name found in the document. The computation of the score uses the appearance frequency of the respective geographical name and positional weights assigned to various types of appearance positions of the geographical name in the document. The system determines the core geographical information in the document based on the scores of the geographical names found in the document. The method may further compute aggregated scores of geographical regions related to the geographical names and determine the core geographical information using both the aggregated scores of geographical regions and the scores of individual geographical names to increase accuracy.

摘要: A method is described for the characterization of atmospheric particles by means of a lidar device. The method provides to send a laser pulse in the atmosphere, a part of which is directly backscattered by the particles in the atmosphere. A reflecting optical device is provided, that is positioned at a predetermined distance d from the lidar device, whereby a part of the laser pulse that directly reaches the reflecting device is backreflected and is later backscattered by the particles in the atmosphere thus generating a counterpropagating backscattering signal directed towards the reflecting device, which signal reaches the reflecting device and is backreflected towards the lidar device. The lidar device detects the direct backscattering and counterpropagating signals. The optical characteristics of the particles are determined on the basis of the direct backscattering signal and the counterpropagating backscattering signal.

A lead frame partially encased by the casing comprises (1) an electrically conductive LED chip carrier part having a surface carrying a linear array of LEDs adapted to be energized to produce in combination a substantially full range of colors, each LED having a first electrical terminal and a second electrical terminal, the first terminal of each of the LEDs being electrically and thermally coupled to the chip carrying surface of the chip carrier part; and (2) electrically conductive connection parts separate from the chip carrier part, each of the connection parts having a connection pad, the second terminal of each of the LEDs being electrically coupled to the connection pad of a corresponding one of the connection parts with a single wire bond. The linear array of LEDs extends in a first direction, and each of the chip carrier part and connection parts has a lead. The leads may be disposed in parallel relationship with each other and extend through the end surfaces of the casing in a second direction, the second direction being orthogonal to the first direction. An array of the surface-mount devices may be used in an LED display such as an indoor LED screen.
