Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a driving method and a driving device of display panels. The driving method includes: obtaining three-color sub-pixel data of each of pixels of a current image, obtaining a saturation value corresponding to each of the pixels in accordance with the three-color sub-pixel data of each of the pixels, obtaining a current background-white ratio in accordance with the three-color sub-pixel data and the saturation value of each of the pixels, determining whether the current background-white ratio is within a predetermined adjustment range, and reducing a white grayscale value of four-color sub-pixel data of the current image in accordance with the current background-white ratio and outputting the reduced white grayscale value to a display panel. In this way, the darker pure-color effect due to the high contrast may be reduced, which effectively enhances the darker pure-color issue of the RGBW display panel.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a driving method and a driving device of display panels. The driving method includes: dividing a saturation interval of an original image frame to be displayed by a display panel into a plurality of sub-saturation intervals; obtaining saturation values corresponding to each of the pixels in the original image frame; calculating numbers of pixels in the original image frame falling within each of the sub-saturation internals in accordance with the saturation values corresponding to each of the pixels. In this way, the backlight brightness outputted by the backlight module may be adjusted in accordance with the saturation values of the original image frame so as to enhance the low brightness issue when a pure-color image is displayed by the display panel configured with RGBW sub-pixels.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a display panel and an array substrate including a plurality of pixel cells including colorful sub-pixels and one white sub-pixel. Each of the sub-pixels includes at least one sub-pixel electrode and at least one sub-pixel transistor corresponding to each of the sub-pixel electrode. The sub-pixel transistors are configured within the white sub-pixel to enhance an aperture rate of the colorful sub-pixels. As the sub-pixel transistors are configured within the same white sub-pixel, the brightness of the white sub-pixel may be decreased. At the same time, the aperture rate of the colorful sub-pixels may be greatly enhanced so as to enhance the performance of colorful images.

The structure includes a sensor, a controller, a driving chip and a light strip electrically connected sequentially, wherein, the driving chip includes a first and a second driving unit; the light strip includes multiple backlight lamps, and a portion of the backlight lamps sequentially adjacent forms a first window light group for lighting up a first cover window display region; the photosensitive sensor senses a change of an operation environment and sends an electric signal to the controller; after the controller processes the received electric signal, the controller selectively controls operation statuses of the first and the second driving unit; the first driving unit drives all of the backlight lamps of the light strip to emit light, and the second driving unit drives the first window light group to emit light to ensure the display effect, and decrease the power consumption.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a backlight control method of LCDs. The method includes dividing an effective display area of the LCD into a plurality of sub-display areas along a predetermined direction, obtaining an average brightness of display images of each of the sub-display areas, and adjusting a backlight brightness of the LCD in accordance with the average brightness of the display images of each of the sub-display areas.
