Abstract: The disclosure provides a RGBW pixel rendering device, including a collecting module obtaining a RGB grayscale value, converters converting the RGB grayscale value to a RGB brightness value and converting a second RGBW brightness value to a RGBW grayscale value to be output, a sampler, converting the RGB brightness value to a first RGBW brightness value, a judging element obtaining saturation values and brightness values, and calculating the saturation values and the brightness values respectively to obtain a saturation value difference and a brightness value difference for judging, a rendering element rendering the first RGBW brightness value according to an outcome to obtain the second RGBW brightness values. The disclosure further provides a rendering method. Compared with the prior art, the display has relatively high resolution without losing details.

Abstract: A pixel rendering method and a pixel rendering device are disclosed. The method includes obtaining a grayscale value of a red, green, and blue (RGB) primary color weight of each pixel in an original image and converting the grayscale value into RGBW luminance values; determining a display mode of a pending pixel to be a text display mode or an image display mode; rendering the pending pixel based on the text display mode if the display mode of the pending pixel is on the text display mode; otherwise, rendering the pending pixel on the image display mode.

Abstract: A color filter substrate is disclosed, including a substrate, a black matrix disposed on the substrate and multiple color resist blocks separated by the black matrix and disposed on the substrate. Each color resist block is filled with a color resist material, the color resist material includes pigment molecules, including at least one photosensitive substituent. A liquid crystal display device having the same is also disclosed. Utilizing an UV irradiation step in the CF process, the pigment molecules are aligned directionally, which can increase the transmittance of the color filter substrate, the utilization rate of the backlight, and decrease the power consumption. Under the same display brightness, the thickness of the color filter substrate can be decreased; the pigment molecules aligned directionally can make an emitting light to be along a same direction to reduce the light interference between adjacent sub-pixels having different colors to greatly decrease the color shift.

Abstract: The present invention provides a color filter substrate and a display device. The color filter substrate of the present invention includes a backing plate, a black matrix arranged on the backing plate, and a plurality of color resist blocks arranged on the backing plate and spaced from each other by the black matrix. The color resist blocks include a multiple-pore support layer and a color resist material distributed in the multiple-pore support layer. The color resist material includes pigment molecules. The multiple-pore support layer includes a plurality of pores formed therein such that the pores have a size that is greater than a size of the pigment molecules so as to provide effective dispersion and support of pigment molecules, allowing for reducing the amount of non-pigment constituents, such as a dispersion agent and resin, of the color resist material and increasing the content of pigment constituent to thereby improve the performance of light filtration for each unit film thickness of the color resist blocks and allow for thinning of the color filter substrate and an increased density of pixels. The display device of the present invention includes the above-described color filter substrate and shows various advantages, including wide gamut, reduced thickness, and increased brightness.
