    摘要: A composition for an optical waveguide is provided which contains no halogen atom and has no light absorption band in a visible to near-infrared spectral range. A method of preparing the composition is also provided. The composition includes: (A) a fine particulate zirconium oxide material including zirconium oxide fine particles, and a silicone oligomer and a silicone oligomer polymer bonded to outer peripheral surfaces of the zirconium oxide fine particles; and (B) a photoacid generator. For preparation of the composition, the fine particulate zirconium oxide material (A) is prepared by mixing a silicone oligomer in an aqueous dispersion of zirconium oxide fine particles, polymerizing the silicone oligomer in an acidic pH range to provide a silicone oligomer polymer, and bonding the silicone oligomer and the silicone oligomer polymer to outer peripheral surfaces of the zirconium oxide fine particles. Then, the photoacid generator (B) is blended with the fine particulate zirconium oxide material (A).

    摘要: A wired circuit board on which a highly reliable conductor pattern is formed, to allow an electronic component to be mounted on it with improved accuracy. An insulating layer 3 is formed on a metal supporting layer 2 having a degree of surface brilliancy of 150-500% in such a manner as to have a haze value of 20-50% and also a conductor pattern 4 is formed on the insulating layer 3, thereby producing a TAB tape carrier 1. In this TAB tape carrier 1, since the metal supporting layer 2 has a specified degree of surface brilliancy of 500% or less, the pattern design of the conductor pattern 4 is optically examined to determine whether it is good or bad with high accuracy. Also, since the metal supporting layer 2 has a specified degree of surface brilliancy of 150% or more and the insulating layer 3 has a specified haze value ranging from 20% to 50%, the light for the alignment of an electronic component 21 can be allowed to smoothly pass through the insulating layer 3, and as such can allow the electronic component 21 to be mounted with high accuracy.

    摘要: An optical waveguide device is provided which is capable of reducing light propagation losses in the cores of an optical waveguide when the optical waveguide is formed on a surface of a substrate, regardless of the type of substrate. A photosensitive resin layer (4A) for over cladding layer formation is made of a photosensitive resin composition of a non-solvent type, and is heated prior to the exposure thereof to light. This causes interface portions between the cores (3) and the photosensitive resin layer (4A) to be formed into mixed layers (5). This reduces light propagation losses.
