Abstract: In a method of query derivation in an observation platform a signal from a first communication device is received at a second communication device that is associated with a computer system. The computer system is associated with an organization and a first characteristic of the signal corresponds to an audible source. The signal is parsed, by the computer system according to a policy, to determine metadata associated with the signal, wherein the first communication device is operated by a user and wherein the policy dictates rules for use of the metadata. The computer system determines a prior user history of the user. The computer system converts the audible source of the signal to text or machine understandable language. The computer system derives a query related to the organization based on at least one of the prior user history, the metadata, and the text or machine understandable language.

Abstract: In a method of observing users of communication devices, a central computer system recognizes a first user associated with a first communication device and a second user associated with a second communication device. The central computer system observes a communication between the first communication device and the second communication device, wherein at least a portion of the communication is an audible communication. The central computer system relays the communication between the first communication device and the second communication device. The central computer system identifies features of the communication and makes the features available for decision making purposes.

Abstract: In a method of using structured communications in an observation platform with cloud computing, a signal from a first communication device is received by a second communication device associated with a first computer system. The second computer system forwards the signal from the first computer system to a second computer system, wherein the second computer system is physically remote from the first computer system and connected with the first computer system via a network. The second computer system derives context information for the signal, the deriving based on a plurality of factors derived from an analysis of the signal, wherein the plurality of factors comprises a speech to text analysis of the signal, and wherein the second computer system is cloud based. The second computer system determines at least one destination for the signal based on the plurality of factors for the context information.

Abstract: An observation platform comprises a first computer system associated with an organization, a first communication device associated with a first user, a second communication device communicatively and a second computer system both communicatively coupled with the first computer system The second computer system receives: via the first computer system and the first communication device, a signal with a characteristic corresponding to an audible source; and from the first computer system, context information at least in part from a speech to text analysis of the characteristic, where the context information represents one or more attributes of the first user and comprises a query about the organization made by the first user. The second computer system compiles a response to the query relative to the organization and responds via the first computer system and the second communication device, to the first communication device regarding the query based on the compiled response.

Abstract: In a method of structured communications in an observation platform a signal from a first communication device is received at a second communication device that is associated with a computer system. The computer system derives a query from the signal, wherein the query is related to the organization. The computer system determines a plurality of persons representing the organization to respond to the query, wherein the determining is based on a factor related to the plurality of persons representing the organization. The signal is forwarded to a plurality of communication devices associated with the plurality of persons representing the organization.

Abstract: In a method of using structured communication in a plurality of observation platforms, within a first observation platform associated with a first radio range, a second communication device associated with a computer system receives a signal from a first communication device. A first characteristic of the signal corresponds to an audible source and a second characteristic of the signal corresponds to information indicative of a geographic position of the first communication device. The computer system: recognizes a first user associated with the first communication device; derives context information for the signal; and relays the signal, via a computer network, to a second computer system associated with a second observation platform. The second observation platform is associated with a second radio range outside of the first radio range. In the second observation platform, the signal is relayed via the second computer system to a derived destination in the second observation platform.

Abstract: Systems and methods for observing and recording users of communication devices are disclosed. A first user associated with a first communication device and a second user associated with a second communication device are recognized at a central computer system. Geographic locations of the first communication device and the second communication device are tracked at the central computer system. A communication between the first communication device and the second communication device are tracked and recorded at the central computer system, wherein at least a portion of the communication is an audible communication. Features of the communication are identified at the central computer system and made available.

The computer system identifies the metric based on the communication between the employee and the customer. The computer system makes the metric available for decision making purposes.
