摘要: A valve system for the overhead valve type four-cycle engine disposing the intake and exhaust valves substantially symmetrically to each other with respect to the cylinder center line, wherein the valve stems are so tilted in the cylinder head that the valve bodies are in juxtaposition close to the cylinder center line. Guide cams are disposed around the circumferential surface of the crank shaft, respectively return back to the same starting point while making two turns, and respectively have one projection in the course of the turn, for driving the intake and exhaust valves. Between the guide cams and the respective intake and exhaust valve, a sliding piece, push rod and rocker arm are provided, and the projection on each of aforesaid cam is designed to be placed at such a position as to engage with the sliding piece to the opening timing of the intake and exhaust valves.

摘要: An improved work vehicle is disclosed in which a vertical shaft V-type engine having vertically supported crankshaft with the pair of right and left cylinders being arranged in V-shape is housed inside the front bonnet that is forwardly downwardly inclined at the top. The work vehicle, while having no less excellent performance in terms of power output, noise, and vibration, provides more increased operability and a wider range of forward visibility than conventional horizontal opposed type engine vehicles.

摘要: A valve gear adapted for a four-cycle engine having a guide portion formed on the outer surface of an output shaft connected to a crankshaft, and of such a shape folding around the output shaft as to return back to a starting point in two turns, and having interlocking mechanisms provided with portions engaging with the guide portion and moved by the rotation of the crankshaft to open valves. The guide portion, only one in number, is provided on the output shaft connected to the crankshaft, and the interlocking mechanisms for driving intake and exhaust valves are disposed substantially opposite to each other across the output shaft as to engage with aforesaid single guide portion.

摘要: An engine balancing system for a single-cylinder engine including a single primary balancer and a counterbalancer for reducing rotational vibration, wherein the single primary balancer has an axis of rotation disposed parallel to a crank shaft of the engine and is driven at the same velocity as the crank shaft in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the crank shaft. A cylinder of the engine has a center line which deviates from the center axis of the crank shaft and is displaced toward the single primary balancer.

摘要: A valve gear adapted for a four-cycle engine. Provided are a groove having such a shape folding around a crank shaft with an intersection as to return back to a starting point in two turns, a cam formed on top faces of both banks of aforesaid groove, a tappet arm projecting sideways from a tappet and elastically engaged with aforesaid cam, and a slider supported by aforesaid tappet arm and slidably fitted into aforesaid groove, and aforesaid tappet arm is guided by aforesaid slider to be given a lift by aforesaid cam provided on the outer circumference of the crank shaft.
