摘要: Method and device(s) for supporting estimation of latency over a communication path in a communication network between a data flow shaping node, providing a data flow in bursts towards a data flow target node, and a probe node. The devices(s) initiate to transmit, by the data flow shaping node, a sample burst being a burst of said bursts that differs in a predefined manner from preceding and subsequent bursts so that the data flow target node in response to the sample burst transmits a certain pattern of acknowledgement packets that differs compared to patterns of acknowledgement packets transmitted by the data flow target node in response to said preceding and subsequent bursts. The device(s) initiates to identify, by the probe node, receipt of potential acknowledgement packets according to said certain pattern.

摘要: A method performed by a communication device in a network comprising mobile networks operated by mobile network operators, MNs, is provided. The method includes signaling to a first server to discover a second server having information about a public land mobile network identifier and a network service of a MNO. The second server has a first fully qualified domain name, FQDN, pointing to a provider domain. The method further includes receiving a response including a resolution or a redirection of the FQDN; signaling to discover the information about the network service; and receiving a response from the second server including a first identification of the information about the network service of the MNO or a second identification that the network service is not available. Corresponding methods performed by a first server and a second server are also provided.

摘要: A method and a device proxy for handling radio communication of content data from a data source to be played out on a media player of a wireless device in a wireless network. When detecting that a potential data class is available, the device proxy fetches segments of the content data from the data source over a potential data bearer dedicated for data of said potential data class. The potential data bearer is dedicated for data of the potential data class, which is less sensitive to delay than data of other data classes. The potential data bearer is also less costly to use compared to other data bearer(s). The fetched segments of content data are stored by the device proxy in an intermediate buffer, and the segments of content data are delivered from the intermediate buffer when requested by the media player.

The proxy is arranged to: receive a packet from the server, the packet directed to the communications device; and forward the packet to the communications device and reply to the server with a traffic handling offer message, the traffic handling offer message including a plurality of traffic handling options. The proxy is further arranged to receive a selection of a traffic handling option from the server; and apply the selected traffic handling option to packets sent from the server to the communications device via the proxy.

摘要: A method executed by an Intermediary Node arranged between a Client and a Server for participating in the setting up of a connection between the Client and a Server is described. In response to intercepting a first message, the method transmits from the Client and destined for the Server, and requests for a connection to be set-up between the Client and the Server. The method recognizes, based on content of the received first message, that it is desirable for the Intermediary Node to perform at least one function on the requested connection, the Intermediary Node is transmitting a second message to the Client, comprising an identity of the Intermediary Node. This enables the Client to accept or reject the Intermediary Node as a node participating in the requested connection set-up.
