Abstract: A server device acquires input information input into a terminal device, recognizes the input information with reference to a dictionary file, the dictionary file serving as a voice-recognition dictionary describing an identifier representing a category, the category being determined based on a meaning of a registered character string, and specifies an input character string and the first identifier, the first identifier representing a category of a registered character string included in the input character string. The server device transmits the specified character string and first identifier to the terminal device. The terminal device selects, with reference a function-selection file describing a correspondence between the first identifier and a category to which a function to be presented belongs, a category to which a function corresponding to the first identifier belongs, and presents a plurality of functions belonging to the selected category in a predetermined presenting manner.

Abstract: An object is to provide a modulation device, a demodulation device, and a transmission system and acoustic signal transmission method using them which can carry out a synchronization process for data signals without using a carrier frequency for a synchronization signal.A modulation device 3 transmits an acoustic signal superposed with a PN sequence set according to a carrier frequency and a data signal. A demodulation device 9 receives the acoustic signal, determines the PN sequence having the highest maximum correlation value with the acoustic signal in a plurality of PN sequences, detects a symbol synchronization point according to the correlation value between thus determined PN sequence and the acoustic signal, and performs a synchronization process. Thereafter, according to the detected synchronization point and determined PN sequence, an OFDM demodulation processing unit 38 decides the carrier frequency band of the data signal superposed on the acoustic signal and demodulates the data signal.

Abstract: A striker locks two members by engagement with a groove of a hook, wherein the striker is fixed to one of the two members and the hook is rotatably fixed to the other of the two members. The striker includes a mounting plate portion fixed to the one of the two members; a base plate portion which is formed so as to extend perpendicular to the mounting plate portion by a bending process along a bend line; and a folded-back plate portion which is formed by folding over an extended portion. The folded back plate portion extends from one end of the base plate portion in a direction of the bend line, onto the opposite side of the base plate portion from the mounting plate portion side, so that the extended portion overlies the base plate portion. The base plate portion is positioned closer to the hook than the folded-back plate portion. A through-hole is formed in the base plate portion and the folded-back plate portion, which overlie each other, so that a folded end portion between the base plate portion and the folded-back plate portion defines a rod portion serving as an engaging portion engageable with a groove of the hook.

Abstract: Under the situation in a network including a transmitter and a receiver in which a transmitter converts a non-compressed packet to be transmitted as a full-header packet including a full header or a header-compressed packet including a compressed header, and sends the converted packet to the receiver, the transmitter sends at least an important packet in the non-compressed packet to be transmitted as a full-header packet. The important packet means for example, a packet containing the data serving an important role when the data terminal eventually receiving each packet reproduces the audio and/or image in accordance with the data in each packet.

Abstract: A sender converts a non-compressed packet, which is to be transmitted, into a full-header packet including a full header or a header-compressed packet including a compressed header, and sends the converted packet to a receiver. The receiver receives the packet transmitted from the sender, and converts the received packet into a decompressed packet. In cases the full-header packet or header-compressed packet is lost between the sender and receiver, the receiver keeps header-compressed packers received during an interval from the packet loss to the next earliest reception of a full-header packet, and decompresses the compressed headers of the kept header-compressed packets on the basis of contents of the full header of the full-header packet.

Abstract: A loudspeaker has two magnets disposed directly with respect to voice coils for generating a repulsion magnetic field at the voice coils, without interposition of yoke but with mutually repulsing magnetic polarities of the magnets, and a diaphragm directly coupled at inner peripheral edge substantially to the center of outer periphery of the voice coils. Driving force is transmitted highly efficiently from the voice coils to the diaphragm, and the loudspeaker can be sufficiently minimized in the thickness and weight.

Abstract: An engine intake system including a primary and secondary intake passages which are separated from each other and are respectively provided with a primary and a secondary fuel injection valve. The secondary intake passage is closed and the secondary fuel injection valve is inoperable for light load engine operation. When the secondary fuel injection valve is restarted to operate for heavy load engine operation, the quantity of fuel supply is momentarily increased to avoid any stepwise change in the engine output torque. The amount of the increase in the fuel supply is increased in response to a decrease in the engine speed. When operation of the secondary fuel injection valve is stopped, the fuel supply is decreased.
