An exhaust pipe for a diesel engine is connected to a diesel particulate defuser (“DPD”). To automatically regenerate the DPD, an exhaust gas temperature is detected, a deviation of the detected exhaust gas temperature from a target regeneration temperature is evaluated, and an amount of post injection is controlled through PID control according to the deviation. When, during the automatic regeneration with a vehicle running, an exhaust brake valve is closed, the post injection is interrupted. While the exhaust brake is being closed, an operation of an integral control term is continued with the PID control, and when the exhaust brake valve is opened, the integral control term operated without interruption is used as an initial amount of operation.

An image display apparatus of the present invention includes: a display device for displaying an image; a heat-receiving tube that is disposed so as to be in thermal communication with the display device and is filled with a cooling liquid; a heat-radiating tube that is provided to be continuous with the heat-receiving tube and is filled with the cooling liquid; and a transporting pump allowing the cooling liquid to circulate through the heat-receiving tube and the heat-radiating tube. When viewed from a display surface side of the display device, at least a part of the heat-radiating tube is located outside a peripheral edge of the display device and is disposed along the peripheral edge.

A drive of a steering-lock actuator is controlled such that a lock member takes a steering lock state from a steering unlock state if there occurs a change in the state of a vehicle door detected by a door-state detecting device and a stop state of the vehicle is detected by a vehicle-stop-state detecting device when an ignition switch is in an OFF state (step S7). A power supply to the vehicle-stop-state detecting device is made stop if the ignition switch is turned to the OFF state from an ON state (step S2), and the power supply to the vehicle-stop-state detecting device resumes if there occurs the change in the state of the vehicle door detected by the door-state detecting device when the ignition switch is in the OFF state (step S4).

The present invention aims to produce a three-dimensional structure having a high aspect ratio by using inkjet printing techniques or the like. Specifically, a three-dimensional structure is produced by ejecting a liquid drop of a solution, which contains a solvent and polymer particles dispersed in the solvent while having a viscosity of not more than 100 cps, from a nozzle onto a substrate; then evaporating the solvent and melting the polymer particles by irradiating the liquid drop with light; and then depositing the molten polymer particles on the substrate. The present invention can be applied to production of biochips and the like.

In manufacturing a display panel of a PDP, a CRT, or the like, for example, a screen stripe is formed on a panel surface in a production cycle time equivalent to or faster than that of a screen printing system. By using a dispenser of a variable flow rate type for a display panel that has an effective display area in which a paste layer is to be formed and a non-effective display area in which no paste layer is to be formed, outside this effective display area, paste discharge is promptly interrupted when a discharge nozzle runs through the non-effective display area of the display panel.

A transmission apparatus includes an active programmable device; a standby programmable device upgrading the version; an external memory part that includes a table memory and a main signal memory and that is shared between the two programmable devices; and a switching part that selects either of the main signals processed by the two programmable devices to transmit the selected main signal to an output path. The active programmable device is capable of processing the main signals in parallel with the standby programmable device and receives a notification of completion of the version upgrade from the standby programmable device to issue an instruction to start switching to the standby programmable device. The standby programmable device uses the table memory and the main signal memory updated by the active programmable device to process the main signals in response to the instruction to start the switching.

The image display device of the present invention includes a display panel having a front surface for displaying an image and a rear surface facing a side opposite to the front surface, and a chassis to which a circuit-bearing member is attached. The chassis supports the display panel. The chassis has a frame shape that surrounds the display panel from outside in a direction perpendicular to a thickness direction of the display panel, and that allows the rear surface of the display panel to be exposed. Thereby, heat can be radiated to air directly from the rear surface of the display panel.
