Abstract: Outputs from first and second DC power supplies are controlled based on a first reactor current and a second reactor current. For controlling an output from a corresponding DC power supply, a relative maximum point and a relative minimum point as two inflection points are provided in a high current of the first and second reactor currents in one control cycle, by controlling on and off of switching elements. In a low current of the first and second reactor currents, inflection points more than in the high current are provided. Each of the inflection points on a side of the high current is provided at timing identical to the inflection point on a side of the low current.

The SCU controls the SUs to switch to the first state or the second state in accordance with a voltage of the electric power to be charged and discharged.

Abstract: The present teaching provides a power supply system capable of fully utilizing a plurality of batteries having different performances. A power supply system disclosed here includes a main line, a plurality of sweep modules, and a controller. Each of the sweep modules includes a battery module and an electric power circuit module. The electric power circuit module includes a switching device for connecting a connection state between the battery modules and the main line between connection and disconnection. The controller performs sweep control of sequentially switching the battery module connected to the main line among the plurality of battery modules. During an input of electric power from outside, the controller disconnects the battery module whose SOC level satisfies a high SOC condition from the main line (S7), and continues sweep control (S8, S9).

Abstract: A hybrid vehicle can travel using outputs from an engine and a second motor-generator. A first motor-generator can generate electric power for charging a plurality of DC power supplies using the output from the engine during vehicle traveling or during a vehicle stop. A power supply system includes a power converter connected across the DC power supplies and an electric power line connected in common to the first and second motor-generators. A control device generates operation commands for the first and second motor-generators and the engine so as to ensure driving request power based on a vehicle traveling condition and charging/discharging request power for the DC power supplies as a whole. The setting of the charging/discharging request power is switched in accordance with an operation mode of the power converter.

Abstract: A battery string is configured such that a plurality of battery circuit modules can be connected in series. A middle point between a first capacitor and a second capacitor provided on a detection line connecting a positive electrode output line and a negative electrode output line of the battery string to each other is grounded by a ground line through a limiting resistor. During operation of the battery string, an electric leakage detection unit sets a battery circuit module in a pass-through state, and detects electric leakage in the battery string based on a differential voltage that is a difference between a first voltage being the voltage of the first capacitor and a second voltage being the voltage of the second capacitor.
