摘要: The present invention relates to a transition arrangement (1) between a SIW and a waveguide interface (3). The SIW comprises a dielectric material (4), a first and second metal layer (5, 6) and a first and second electric wall element (7a, 7b) running essentially parallel and electrically connecting the metal layers (5, 6). The transition arrangement (1) comprises a coupling aperture (8) in the first metal layer (5) and a third wall element (7c) running between the first and second electric wall elements (7a, 7b). The transition arrangement (1) further comprises an intermediate transition element (9) with a first and second main surface (10, 11), and a transition aperture (12) having first and second opening (13, 14) with corresponding first and second widths (w1, w2). The transition element (9) is mounted over the coupling aperture (8), the first width (w1) exceeding the second width (w2) and the transition from the first width (w1) to the second width (w2) taking place between the first opening (13) and the second opening (14) in at least one step (15, 16). The second opening (14) is mounted to the waveguide interface (3) having an interface opening (17) being offset relative the second opening (14), a front step (18) being formed.

摘要: An antenna arrangement comprising a SIW with at least one radiating arrangement. The SIW comprises a dielectric material, a first and second metal layer and a first and second electric wall element running essentially parallel and electrically connecting the metal layers. For each radiating arrangement, the antenna arrangement comprises at least one coupling aperture in the first metal layer, and for each coupling aperture there is a third wall element running between the first and second electric wall elements, across a SIW longitudinal extension (es). For each radiating arrangement, the antenna arrangement further comprises an at least partly electrically conducting antenna component which comprises at least four radiating elements and is surface-mounted on the first metal layer, enclosing at least one coupling aperture. For each radiating arrangement, electromagnetic signals are arranged to be transmitted between said coupling aperture and said radiating elements.

摘要: A method (400) for positioning a first and a second radio antenna comprising the steps of configuring (SI) the first antenna to have a main lobe L1 and configuring (52) the second antenna to be a directive antenna having a main lobe L2. The method also comprising the steps of transmitting (S3) a first alignment signal from the first antenna to the second antenna and positioning (S4) the second antenna based on the received first alignment signal, as well as reconfiguring (S5) the first antenna to be a directive antenna having an antenna main lobe L3, the antenna main lobe L3 having a more narrow main lobe width than the antenna main lobe L1. The method provides a systematic approach to finding optimum antenna positions and corresponding main lobe directions which is especially suited for aligning directive radio antennas in NLOS communication scenarios.
