    摘要: A coil element according to one embodiment includes: an insulator body including first insulating layers and second insulating layers laminated in a stacking direction; first conductive patterns formed on the first insulating layers; and second conductive patterns formed on the second insulating layers. The insulator body includes a first end region situated at a top in the stacking direction, a second end region situated at a bottom in the stacking direction, and an intermediate region situated between the first end region and the second end region. The insulator body includes a first portion and a second portion that is an area other than the first portion. The first portion covers upper and lower surfaces of one or more intermediate first conductive patterns in the intermediate region among the plurality of first conductive patterns. The electrical resistivity of the first portion is higher than that of the second portion.

The winding portion includes first, second, third, and fourth portions facing the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth surfaces, respectively when viewed from a direction of the coil axis. The radii of curvature of the first and second portions are both smaller than the radii of curvature of the third and fourth portions. When viewed from the direction of the coil axis, the distance between the first portion and the third surface and the distance between the second portion and the fourth surface are both larger than the distance between the third portion and the fifth surface and the distance between the fourth portion and the sixth surface.

    摘要: In an exemplary embodiment, a multilayer coil component includes: a substrate body; and a coil embedded in the substrate body and containing a wound conductor; wherein the substrate body has: magnetic layers containing multiple metal magnetic grains, provided around conductor layers that constitute parts of the wound conductor in a direction roughly orthogonal to the coil axis of the coil; and multiple high-hardness insulating grains harder than the multiple metal magnetic grains and smaller in average grain size than the multiple metal magnetic grains, provided between a pair of the conductor layers adjacent to each other in the direction of the coil axis and also between a pair of the magnetic layers adjacent to each other in the direction of the coil axis. The multilayer coil component can prevent shorting in the wound conductor while increasing the inductance.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a coil component comprises: forming a coil conductor including a winding portion, the winding portion including a plurality of first conductor portions and one or more second conductor portions smaller in number than the first conductor portions, the first and second conductor portions alternate with and connected to each other; forming a molded body by molding composite magnetic material including metal magnetic particles and a binder with the coil conductor being disposed inside the composite magnetic material; and heating the molded body to produce a magnetic base body. The magnetic base body is formed such that a distance between the first conductor portions and a first surface of the magnetic body is greater than a distance between the second conductor portions and a second surface of the magnetic base body opposite to the first surface, by molding, cutting or polishing.
