    摘要: An emergency route back number (ERBN) may be assigned for use in emergency calls. A telecommunication network associated that may be associated with a wireless service provider, may identify an emergency call directed to an emergency number (e.g., 9-1-1) that originated from a device that is not associated with a unique phone number such as a shared line, or a communication that utilizes some other indicator to establish the emergency call (e.g., an email address, or some other identifier). When an emergency call is detected that does not have a dedicated phone number, an ERBN is assigned to the communication. This ERBN may be reserved for some period of time after the emergency call ends such that emergency contact centers are able to reach callers back in case of dropped calls, fails, and/or additional emergency services that may need to reach the callers directly.

    摘要: Systems and methods for preventing aggressive or abusing signaling on networks are disclosed. When a user equipment (UE), such as a cell phone, sends a request to a network (e.g., a REGISTER, SUBSCRIBE, or PUBLISH request), a network entity can start a “guard timer” and/or increment a “guard counter.” The guard timer can comprise a predetermined amount of time within which one or more additional requests from the same UE will be ignored. Similarly, the guard timer can be used in conjunction with a guard counter. The guard counter can enable a UE to make a predetermined number of requests before the guard timer expires. If the UE exceeds the guard counter before the guard timer expires, any additional requests will be ignored. When the guard timer expires, the guard counter is reset to zero to enable the UE to make additional requests.

    摘要: A network operator can partition network elements, including elements of an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) or Policy and Charging Rules Functions (PCRFs) into groups reserved for specific types of subscribers. When a user equipment (UE) registers with an IMS, elements of the IMS can contact a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) to determine a subscriber type associated with the UE. Based on the UE's subscriber type, an IMS element can determine an application server or other IMS element to contact about the UE based on identifying application servers or IMS elements that are also associated with the same subscriber type as the UE. Similarly, an IMS element can determine a PCRF to contact about the UE based on identifying a PCRF that is associated with the same subscriber type as the UE.

    摘要: Techniques and systems for recovering a communication session from a dedicated bearer failure are disclosed. For example, a P-CSCF node can determine that a dedicated bearer associated with a communication session has failed, and, in response, send a SIP message to a UE associated with the communication session, the SIP message causing the UE to refrain from sending SIP requests using a SIP INVITE method. The process may further include identifying a first network node associated with an identifier of the UE, the first network node comprising one of a PGW or a SMF, and sending an instruction to the first network node to dissociate the dedicated bearer from the communication session. This causes a new attach procedure to be performed by the UE to recover the session without session failure.
