    摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving an EPG when a digital broadcasting system uses different frequency channels according to broadcasters. In the apparatus and method, the digital broadcasting system determines a first frequency channel for transmitting first EPG data for all broadcasting programs, transmits the first EPG data through the first frequency channel at a first data rate, and transmits second EPG data through second frequency channels at a second data rate less than the first data rate, the second EPG data including both broadcasting streams of a corresponding frequency channel and at least part of the first EPG data. A receiving terminal receives the first EPG data through the first frequency channel, or receives broadcasting program data through one of the second frequency channels and simultaneously receives the second EPG data to updates the first EPG data.

    摘要: A method, apparatus, and system for transmitting and receiving data in a digital broadcasting system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) are provided. A transmitter frames input bit information in a predetermined bit unit, maps the framed input bit information to a transmitter identification indicator (TII) using a predefined number of orthogonal sets, and modulates the TII to an OFDM symbol to transmit the OFDM symbol. A receiver demodulates an OFDM symbol, detects a TII symbol from a predefined orthogonal signal set, demaps predetermined bits from the TII, and concatenates the demapped bits in a predetermined period unit to output bit information. Therefore, the TII can be stably received as a conditional access signal for distinguishing a broadcasting network and a relay network in the digital broadcasting system.

    摘要: An apparatus and a method capable of receiving digital broadcasting without image discontinuity during channel switching. A digital multimedia broadcasting receiver buffers a previous channel while a new channel is buffered in a deinterleaver, thereby preventing image discontinuity during channel switching. The digital broadcasting receiver receives and deinterleaves broadcast data of a channel to be changed and stores the deinterleaved broadcast data in a buffer when a broadcast channel change is requested. The digital broadcasting receiver outputs and displays broadcast data of an initial channel stored in the buffer and stops output of the broadcast data of the initial channel and outputs the broadcast data of the channel to be changed, when the broadcast data of the channel to be changed are stored in the buffer by a predetermined buffering size.

    摘要: An apparatus, method, and system for providing a broadcasting service in a Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) system with a Single Frequency Network (SFN). Networks of shadow and non-shadow regions can be distinguished in the digital broadcasting system. A conditional access system can be used in the shadow region. A terminal can select a service network. A broadcasting providing server encrypts broadcasting service data, generates private and public keys into which predetermined encryption keys are divided to decrypt the encrypted broadcasting service data, sets at least one broadcasting transmitter for transmitting the private key and/or at least one broadcasting transmitter for transmitting the public key, and provides the encryption keys along with the encrypted broadcasting service data. Broadcasting transmitters transmit the encrypted broadcasting service data received from the broadcasting providing server and the private key using the SFN. At least one of the broadcasting transmitters further transmits the public key.
