    Abstract: A wearable device for simulating wounds and injuries received during a trauma event includes a raiment and vest for covering the torso of a person. The raiment has an outer surface with a color and a texture comparable to human skin. Mounted on the outer surface is at least one wound simulator formed with an orifice that is in fluid communication with a fluid reservoir. Thus, the person can selectively expel a blood-like fluid from the reservoir, and through the wound simulator orifice, to simulate a trauma event. The vest includes an artificial rib cage and prosthetic internal organs juxtaposed with at least one wound simulator to simulate internal effects of a trauma event.

    Abstract: A construction set and method for assembling a Relocatable Habitat Unit (RHU) requires a plurality of flat panels that include male (M) and female (F) connectors located on their respective peripheries. The entire RHU can then be assembled using a single, hand-operated tool to engage a selected M with a selected F. First the floor is established and leveled. Next, starting at a corner, the wails are erected around the floor. Finally, the roof is created. A same, hand-operated tool is used for each task.

A reservoir containing simulated blood is located between the back of the manikin and the training suit. Located on the training suit are various wound simulators such as leg, abdominal, arm, face, and neck wound simulators. The wound simulators are connected to a pumping and control system located inside the manikin, which controls the system such that pulse rates and blood loss are realistically simulated. The pumping and control system is wirelessly connected to an external control device, which allows a trainer to monitor and control the functions of the trainer. The ability to simulate a cricothyroidotomy, and other medical procedures related to airway management, is also provided.

In the system, the soldier is provided with a weapon equipped with a laser transmitter that simulates the firing of actual rounds. Further, sensors are positioned on a human target. Also, discharge members are located on the human target. When a signal is received by a sensor, selected discharge members are activated to immediately expel a plume of dust.
