摘要: An engine valve control mechanism is disclosed in which the eccentricity of an intermediate member can be varied by a pivotable support and a valve lift of a cylinder valve is varied in response to the varying eccentricity such that a reduced valve lift is produced during operation with the intermediate member held eccentric with a driving shaft which drives, via the intermediate member, a cam which actuates the valve.

摘要: A device for moving a hollow cam relative to a driving shaft includes an intermediate member between a drive member fixed to the driving shaft and a driven member fixe to the hollow cam. A cam ring in the form of an eccentric cam is disposed between the driving shaft and the intermediate member to maintain eccentric rotation of the intermediate member relative to the driving shaft. A driver mechanism controls the angular position of the cam ring.

摘要: A cam shaft assembly comprises a first coupling between a drive collar rotatable with a driving shaft and an annular disc at a first position spaced from the shaft axis, and a second coupling between the disc and said hollow cam at a second position angularly spaced from said first position with respect to the shaft axis. The first and second couplings are so spaced from the shaft axis that they are at varying distances from the axis of the disc during operation. Each of the first and second couplings has a movable connection with the disc to permit the variation in its distance from the axis of the disc. The disc is rotatably supported in a disc housing. A control rod is mounted for rotation and has an eccentric control cam which controls movement of the disc housing. A pivot shaft extends through the disc housing for allowing movement of the disc housing following the eccentric control cam in which said plurality of hollow cams are disposed.

摘要: A variable valve actuation apparatus of an internal combustion engine has a multinodular-link motion converter, to vary at least a working angle. A position of rotation of a control shaft, variably adjusting the attitude of the motion converter, is set, so that, at a peak lift during a valve opening period, an angle γ2 between an extension line of a line segment connecting a first fulcrum corresponding to a drive-eccentric-cam center and a second fulcrum provided on a rocker arm and a line segment connecting the second fulcrum and a third fulcrum provided on the rocker arm at a position different from the second fulcrum at a middle working-angle control mode is less than both an angle γ1 between the two line segments at a minimum working-angle control mode and an angle γ3 between the two line segments at a maximum working-angle control mode.

摘要: A valve operating device for an internal combustion engine enabling both valve timing and valve lift characteristic to be varied depending on engine operating conditions includes intake and exhaust camshafts, an eccentric cam fixed to a first one of the intake and exhaust camshafts so that an axis of the eccentric cam is eccentric to an axis of the first camshaft. A rockable cam is supported on the first camshaft so that the rockable cam rotates or oscillates about the axis of the first camshaft. A rocker arm is oscillatingly supported on an outer periphery of the eccentric cam so that a center of an oscillating motion of the rocker arm revolves around the axis of the first camshaft. Also provided is a control shaft variably controlling the center of the oscillating motion of the rocker arm.

摘要: A variable valve actuation apparatus incorporates a mechanism, mounted to a control shaft, to convert rotational motion of a camshaft into pivotal motion of a valve operating cam. The mechanism has different states corresponding to varying angular positions which the control shaft is adjustable to, respectively, The mechanism is continuously variable in state to one of the different states in response to a shift of the control shaft to one of the varying angular positions. The mechanism is also operative to vary the valve operating cam, in position, relative to the associated cylinder valve in response to a shift between the different states.

摘要: A variable valve actuation apparatus of an internal combustion engine has a multinodular-link motion converter, to vary at least a working angle. 摘要: A valve operating apparatus for an internal combustion engine including a drive cam, first and second swing cams, first and second motion transmission mechanisms and first and second valve actuating members. The first and second swing cams are provided with identical swing motion characteristic with respect to a rotation angle of the drive cam through the first and second motion transmission mechanisms. The first swing cam and the first valve actuating member cooperate with each other to provide a valve lift amount of the engine valve for the first group of cylinders with respect to a swing angle of the first swing cam which is identical to a valve lift amount of the engine valve for the second group of cylinders with respect to a swing angle of the second swing cam.
