摘要: A glass container is provided that includes a tube, a circular bottom, and a longitudinal axis. A curved glass heel extends from an outer end the bottom to the first end of the tube. The outer surface has a topography defined by a function ĥ(x) that is an azimuthal average of a distance between a contact plane and the outer surface at any given position located on a circle having the centre and the radius |x|. The values ĥ for ĥ(x) are determined for a plurality of circles the radius of which increases stepwise by 500 μm starting with a circle around the centre having a radius of 500 μm. The values ĥ are determined in a range from x=−0.4×d2/2 to x=+0.4×d2/2, d2 having a size such that at least 4 values ĥ are determined and can be fitted with a curvature function h ^ ( x ) = - c × x 2 1 + 1 - c 2 × x 2 + h 0 .

The present disclosure relates to a layered optical composite comprising: a. a substrate having a front face and a back face, b. a coating comprising: i. a type T layer, and ii. a type C region comprising one or more type C layers; in which the substrate has: i. a thickness tG in the range from 0.2 to 1.2 mm; ii. a refractive index nG at a wavelength λ in the range from 1.6 to 2.4; and iii. an optical absorption coefficient KG at the wavelength λ of less than 10 cm−1; in which the type C layers individually and independently have: i. a thickness tC in the range from 9 to 250 nm; ii. a refractive index nC at the wavelength λ in the range from 1.35 to 2.43; and iii. an optical absorption coefficient KC at the wavelength λ of less than 106 cm−1; in which at least one type C layer has: i. an optical absorption coefficient at the wavelength λ of at least 100 cm−1; in which the type T layer has: i. a thickness tT in the range from 50 to 300 nm; ii. a refractive index nT at the wavelength λ in the range from 1.35 to 1.96; and iii. an optical absorption coefficient KT of less than 80 cm−1; in which the type C region and the type T layer are each superimposed over one face of the substrate with the type C region further than the type T layer from the substrate; in which λ is in the range from 430 to 670 nm.-

摘要: A glass composition includes oxides which form non-volatile fluorides at a temperature of 150° C. and a pressure of 5 Pa or less and are present in an amount of less than 0.5 mol % in the glass composition, based on all oxides present in the glass composition. A working point of the glass composition is 1400° C. or less. The glass composition has a hydrolytic resistance characterized by a leachability of GeO2, P2O5 and/or B2O3 from the glass composition determined as concentrations in an eluate prepared according to ISO 719 of at least one of the following: less than 70 mg/l GeO2 in the eluate per 1 mol % GeO2 in the glass composition; less than 70 mg/l P2O5 in the eluate per 1 mol % P2O5 in the glass composition; or less than 300 mg/l B2O3 in the eluate per 1 mol % B2O3 in the glass composition.
