摘要: A drive module for a vehicle includes an input extending along an axis and configured to be driven by an engine. An electric motor has a rotor carrier hub configured to be rotated about the axis. The rotor carrier hub is non-rotatably connected to a torque converter cover and is selectively coupled to the input via a clutch. The rotor carrier hub has an inner surface defining an interior, an outer surface defining an exterior, and a plurality of holes extending through the rotor carrier hub from the inner surface to the outer surface to enable oil to transfer from the interior to the exterior. This provides a controlled and relative constant oil flow for cooling the drive module.

摘要: A starter-generator module for a vehicle includes a bulkhead wall, a module housing fixed to the bulkhead wall, an e-motor stator fixed to the module housing, an e-motor rotor disposed radially inside of the e-motor stator, and a power electronics unit fixed to the module housing. The module housing has a first opening and the power electronics unit covers the first opening. The e-motor rotor has a rotor carrier arranged for fixing to a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine. In an example embodiment, the rotor carrier includes holes arranged for receiving respective fasteners for fixing the rotor carrier to an engine crankshaft, and a bolt circle diameter of the holes is less than an inside diameter of the first opening. In an example embodiment, the rotor carrier is fixed to a crankshaft by a bolt, and the first opening is arranged for receiving a tool to secure the bolt.

The housing is arranged for fixing to a planetary transmission and an engine. The electric motor is disposed in the housing. The hydraulic coupling is disposed in the housing and is at least partially radially inside of the electric motor. The first clutch is for drivingly connecting the rotor to the engine. The second clutch is arranged in parallel with the hydraulic coupling for drivingly connecting the rotor to an input shaft of the planetary transmission. The flow plate assembly is fixed to the housing. The flow plate assembly has a first flow plate with a first radial groove forming a first portion of a first radial flow channel, and a second flow plate, fixed to the first flow plate, forming a second portion of the first radial flow channel.

摘要: An electric motor includes a rotor, a stator for rotationally driving the rotor and a rotor carrier hub for supporting the rotor on an outer circumferential surface thereof. The rotor carrier hub includes a groove on the outer circumferential surface. The electric motor also includes a clamping ring configured for holding the rotor axially in place on the rotor carrier hub. The clamping ring being fixed on the outer circumferential surface of the rotor carrier hub by at least one inner radial protrusion of the clamping ring extending into contact with the rotor carrier hub in the groove.

摘要: A torque converter including an axis of rotation and a flange rotatable about the axis of rotation is disclosed. The torque converter includes a turbine shell independently rotatable about the axis of rotation relative to the flange. A first plate, disposed between the flange and the turbine shell, may be fixed to the turbine shell. A second plate, disposed between the flange and the turbine shell, may be radially outward relative to the first plate. The torque converter further includes a cover having an inner surface and a third plate disposed between the flange and the cover. The first plate may include at least one ramp protruding in an axial direction toward the flange, wherein the ramp is rotatably engageable with the flange for urging the flange axially in a direction toward the cover, and for transmitting an axial force for urging a clutch to engage.

In some embodiments, the rotor carrier includes an aperture and the at least one bolt is disposed in the aperture.
