    Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device includes an image sensor, a memory, and a processor. The processor is configured to control the electronic device to: obtain a plurality of image frames including external light and an external object at a first designated frame rate using the image sensor, based on a capturing signal; identify a frequency of a flicker related to the external light source; generate first section images for at least a part of a time for which the plurality of image frames are obtained using frames selected from the plurality of image frames corresponding to a second designated frame rate based at least on the frequency, the second designated frame rate being lower than the first designated frame rate; generate second section images for at least a part of the time for which the plurality of image frames are obtained in response at least to a designated input using image frames obtained at the first designated frame rate after the designated input from among the plurality of image frames; and generate moving image data including at least the first section images and the second section images.

    Abstract: An image sensor according to an embodiment may include a plurality of pixels. Each pixel of the plurality of pixels may include first, second, third and fourth photodiodes configured to convert light into an electric signal, and an electric circuit configured to add at least two of the electrical signals converted respectively by the first, second, third and fourth photodiodes and then output the added signals. An electronic device according to an embodiment may include the image sensor. The image sensor and the electronic device may offer an auto focusing function by controlling signals converted by and outputted from the plurality of photodiodes. Other various embodiments are possible.

    Abstract: An image sensor is provided which includes a first group of pixels including a first color filter passing light having a first wavelength range, a second group of pixels including a second color filter passing light having a second wavelength range, and a third group of pixels including a third color filter passing light having a third wavelength range. The first wavelength range is longer than the second wavelength range, and the second wavelength range is longer than the third wavelength range. A second pixel in the second group of pixels or a third pixel in the third group of pixels includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion devices, and a first pixel of the first group of pixels includes a single photoelectric conversion device.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a sensor for capturing an image and a method for controlling the same. An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises an image sensor and one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to receive a signal for capturing a moving image and to acquire a first plurality of image frames according to a first frame rate through the image sensor in response to the signal, the first image frames comprising a first image frame and a second image frame corresponding to an external object. The acquiring operation comprises an operation of generating a first part of a moving image according to a second frame rate, which is lower than the first frame rate, using some image frames among the first plurality of image frames. The one or more processors may be configured to determine a change related to the external object at least on the basis of a brightness difference between a first brightness corresponding to the first image frame and a second brightness corresponding to the second image frame, to acquire a second plurality of image frames corresponding to the external object, when the change satisfies a predesignated condition, through the image sensor according to the first frame rate or a third frame rate that is different from the first frame rate, and to generate a second part of the moving image using one or more image frames among the second plurality of image frames.
