Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transfer rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. A method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving channel state information are disclosed. The method comprises: a step of transmitting, to a terminal, a signaling message including first information indicating at least one precoding matrix which is applicable to a symbol vector to be transmitted; a step of transmitting, to the terminal, a channel status information-reference signal (CSI-RS) for the terminal; and a step of receiving channel state information including a channel quality indicator (CQI) which is calculated using the selected precoding matrix on the basis of second information from the terminal.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided to support a higher data transmission rate beyond the 4G communication system, such as LTE. The present invention provides a method for estimating a downlink channel by a receiver in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: estimating the downlink channel on the basis of a reference signal to recover an information bit, and checking whether the information bit recovery has succeeded; and when the information bit recovery has not succeeded, selecting at least one of the received signals as a virtual reference signal on the basis of the accuracy of the data reconstructed at a related resource location and the correlation between the related resource location and a resource location related to the reference signal, and estimating the downlink channel on the basis of at least one virtual reference signal.

According to the present invention, a method of a transmitting apparatus includes transmitting, to a receiving apparatus, reference signals through m antenna ports; and transmitting, to the receiving apparatus, the reference signals through n antenna ports, wherein each of the m antenna ports has a first polarization characteristic, each of the n antenna ports has a second polarization characteristic, the m antenna ports are included in a first axis of a two-dimensional space generated based on a vertical axis and a horizontal axis of a uniform planar array (UPA) antenna, and the n antenna ports are included in a second axis of the two-dimensional space.

Abstract: Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system to be provided so as to support a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system, such as LTE. Disclosed is a communication method of a base station using a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) in a mobile communication system, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a sounding reference signal (SRS) from a terminal; selecting a precoding matrix by using the received SRS; transmitting a CSI-RS by using the selected precoding matrix; receiving a CSI report from the terminal, and determining a transmission parameter on the basis of the CSI report; and transmitting data to the terminal by applying the determined transmission parameter thereto, wherein the CSI-RS is aperiodically transmitted.
