According to various embodiments, an electronic device may include at least one sensor, at least one communication circuit, and a processor electrically connected to the at least one sensor and/or the at least one communication circuit, wherein the processor is configured to determine a relay message generation condition associated with a vehicle based at least on data acquired from the at least one sensor and/or the at least one communication circuit, to generate a relay message based at least on the data acquired from the at least one sensor and/or the at least one communication circuit when the relay message generation condition is satisfied based on the determination result, and to transmit the generated relay message to an external vehicle through the at least one communication circuit.

The processor may be configured to: receive at least one piece of identification information corresponding to at least one external electronic device for providing a traffic-related signal to at least one vehicle outside the electronic device, via the reception circuit, identify the position of the electronic device, based at least on the at least one piece of identification information, and activate the transmission circuit to transmit movement-related information of the electronic device to the at least one vehicle or the at least one external electronic device, based at least on the position.

A method for enabling easy access to an application linked to contact information is provided. The method includes retrieving a substitute contact means or available applications for contact information of a message while a text messaging screen is being displayed, displaying respective indicators of at least one application with the message, and turning to a running screen of an application that corresponds to a selected indicator. By doing this, a user may easily run the substitute contact means or associated application without leaving the text messaging screen while using the text messaging. It thus gives an advantage of effectively guaranteeing continuity of conversation from the perspective of the user.

In the method, it is determined whether an event satisfying at least one predetermined condition has been generated, recommended items customized to the event are generated, and a first window is displayed in an area according to a predetermined layout, the first window including the recommended items and a notification indicating that the items are recommended according to a context of the event generation.
