The method includes displaying a user interface that requests an input of login information on a display, wherein the display is comprised in the electronic device, displaying that a login using biometric information is possible, instead of the login using the login information, on the display, receiving the biometric information associated with the login information, and performing the login in response to reception of the biometric information.

A method for enabling easy access to an application linked to contact information is provided. The method includes retrieving a substitute contact means or available applications for contact information of a message while a text messaging screen is being displayed, displaying respective indicators of at least one application with the message, and turning to a running screen of an application that corresponds to a selected indicator. By doing this, a user may easily run the substitute contact means or associated application without leaving the text messaging screen while using the text messaging. It thus gives an advantage of effectively guaranteeing continuity of conversation from the perspective of the user.

An open-channel storage device being configured to be controlled by a host including a bad block manager, the open-channel storage device including a buffer memory and a nonvolatile memory device. An operation method of the open-channel storage device includes performing a normal operation under control of the host, detecting a sudden power-off immediately after a program failure associated with a first data block among a plurality of memory blocks included in the nonvolatile memory device while the normal operation is performed, dumping a plurality of user data stored in the buffer memory to a dump block among the plurality of memory blocks in response to the detected sudden power-off, detecting a power-on, and performing a data recovery operation on the plurality of user data stored in the dump block in response to the detected power-on.

An electronic device and a method that may provide security using complex biometric information are provided. The electronic device includes a sensor module configured to sense two or more pieces of biometric information and a controller configured to execute a command corresponding to biometric combination information when the biometric combination information corresponding to the two or more pieces of biometric information sensed through the sensor module exist. As described above, through use of the complex biometric information combined of two or more pieces of biometric information, more strengthened security may be provided to various objects in the electronic device.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display and a processor. The processor is configured to output a first synthesized image expressing a state of an object via the display, to output preview information of an object used for the first synthesized image, to select at least one object from the first synthesized image in response to an input, to detect an input to edit an original image corresponding to the selected at least one object, and to generate and output a second synthesized image based on an object of the edited original image.
