    Abstract: An electronic device, including a memory; a display panel; an image sensor disposed at a lower end of the display panel; a processor operatively connected to the image sensor; and a display driver integrated circuit operatively connected to the display panel and the processor, and configured to sense that a first frame is output on the display panel and to transmit a first signal to the processor based on the first frame being output on the display panel, wherein the processor is configured to: generate the first frame having a designated pixel value based on a shoot command being received from a user, control the display panel to output the first frame, and control the image sensor to capture an image based on the first signal being received from the display driver integrated circuit, and store the captured image in the memory.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling a display so as to reduce power consumption in an electronic device having a plurality of processors are provided. The apparatus includes a display and a control unit. The display is configured to display information formed by a first image and a second image. The first image corresponds to a partial region of the information, and the second image corresponds to a background region of the information. The control unit includes a first processor and a second processor. The processor may be configured to transmit the first image to the second processor in response to a request for displaying the information on the display. The second processor may be configured to store the second image in a memory and control the display to display the received first image together with the second image.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes: a display panel, a display driving circuit, and at least one processor operatively connected to the display driving circuit. The at least one processor may be configured to: determine a resolution of each of a plurality of applications, and generate a frame image including regions corresponding to execution screens of the plurality of applications and determined resolutions of the plurality of applications, based at least partially on the resolutions of the plurality of applications and/or information on a display region corresponding to the execution screens of the plurality of applications on the display panel, and transmit, to the display driving circuit, the frame image and coordinate information of each of the regions included in the frame image. The display driving circuit up-scales at least a portion, which has resolution lower than resolution of the display panel, of the regions included in the frame image, based on the frame image and the coordinate information of each of the regions, such that the frame image has resolution corresponding to the resolution of the display panel and control the display panel to display the execution screen of each of the plurality of applications, based on the up-scaled frame image.

    Abstract: An electronic device for controlling a frame rate and a method therefor are provided. The electronic device includes an image sensor, and a processor. The processor is configured to sequentially obtain a first image, a second image, and a third image through the image sensor at a first time interval, generate a synthesized image by using the first image and the third image, identify a similarity between the second image and the synthesized image, sequentially obtain a fourth image, a fifth image, and a sixth image through the image sensor, at a second time interval long than the first time interval, based on the similarity being equal to or greater than a first threshold value, and sequentially obtain the fourth image, the fifth image, and the sixth image through the image sensor, at the first time interval, based on the similarity being less than a first threshold value.
