Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for providing a mission critical service are provided. The method includes transmitting, by the first terminal, a first discovery announcement message to plurality of terminals performing device to device (D2D) communication according to the mission critical service, wherein the discovery announcement message includes at least one of a category of the first terminal, video performance of a camera provided in the first terminal, and information about a status of the first terminal; receiving a second discovery announcement message from a second terminal included among the plurality of terminals performing the D2D communication; and acquiring information about a presence and a capability of the second terminal based on the second discovery announcement message.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting data, the method includes transmitting a frame containing at least one data packet; generating at least one detection packet for detecting a loss of a last data packet among the at least one data packet; and in response to the last data packet of the frame being transmitted, transmitting the at least one detection packet so that the detection packet is transmitted subsequent to the data packet. Whether or not the last data packet is lost is determined by using the detection packet.
Abstract:
Provided is a method of connecting an access point (AP) device from among a plurality of AP devices on a same network to a terminal. The method includes registering, by the AP device, media access control (MAC) address information regarding at least one or more terminals; receiving a connection request to the AP device from the terminal; and comparing the MAC address information regarding the terminal extracted from the connection request to the registered MAC address information and determining whether to connect the terminal to the AP device.
Abstract:
A server, a client device, and control methods thereof are provided. The server includes: a communicator which communicates with the client device; and a controller which, if a retransmission request for a previously transmitted real-time data packet is received from the client device, repeatedly retransmits the previously transmitted real-time data packet.
Abstract:
Provided is a method performed by a terminal of performing communication, the method including sending, by a terminal to which a floor is granted, media to at least one other terminal, when a predetermined event occurs in the terminal, monitoring a signal received by the terminal to grant the floor of the terminal, and when the media is received from another terminal within a predetermined time as a result of the monitoring, granting the floor to the other terminal.

Abstract:
A method for transmitting and receiving data, which is performed by a terminal, includes: transmitting first data to each of a plurality of reception terminals connected to the terminal, the first data including a source data segment and a parity data segment; determining second data to be transmitted after the first data, based on feedback information that relates to the first data and is received from each of the plurality of reception terminals; and transmitting the determined second data to each of the plurality of reception terminals.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method in which a terminal provides a Mission Critical Push To Talk (MCPTT) service. The method includes receiving a group call announcement message by the terminal, which is any one of a plurality of terminals participating in a group call that is set based on the MCPTT service, comparing information regarding a first group call stored in the terminal with information regarding a second group call included in the received group call announcement message, and merging the first group call, in which the terminal is participating, and the second group call, based on a result of the comparison.
Abstract:
A contents sharing method includes a step for receiving playback capability information from a client apparatus; a determination step for determining, on the basis of the received playback capability information, whether to carry out partial processing of contents to be supplied to the client apparatus; and a transmission step for processing some frames in the contents to be played in the client apparatus and transmitting the processed frames to the client apparatus if it is determined that the partial processing is to be performed. Accordingly, contents may be efficiently provided.
Abstract:
A client apparatus, a server, and a control method thereof are provided. The client apparatus includes a display, a user interface which receives a text input, a communication interface which transmits to the server information related to input text, a storage which receives a result of analysis of the information transmitted from the server and stores the same, and a controller which performs control operations so that, in response to the text input being received via the user interface after the result of the analysis received, the received text is converted based on a stored result of the analysis, before being displayed.
