The first set of resources is different from the second set of resources. Each of the first set of resources and the second set of resources includes one or more of at least one available hardware resource and at least one available software resource.

A method of transmitting contents in a portable terminal is provided. The method includes allowing a portable terminal of a transmitter to be connected to a portable terminal of a receiver by a control communication, allowing the portable terminal of the transmitter to select a type of the data transmission communication with the portable terminal of the receiver through the control communication, allowing the portable terminal of the transmitter to transmit setting data corresponding to the selected type of data transmission communication to the portable terminal of the receiver through the control communication, and allowing the portable terminal of the transmitter to be connected to the portable terminal of the receiver by the control communication and to transmit the content which are requested to be transmitted, to the portable terminal of the receiver.

An electronic device and a tethering method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a housing, and a display exposed through a first portion of the housing. The electronic device also includes an electrical connector exposed through a second portion of the housing, and a wireless communication circuit. The electronic device further includes a first processor operably coupled to the display and the electrical connector and configured to use a first memory address region including a first plurality of addresses. The electronic device also includes a second processor operably coupled to the wireless communication circuit and configured to use a second memory address region including a second plurality of virtual addresses. The electronic device may include: a communication circuit including a first circuit configured to perform first communication and a second circuit configured to perform second communication; a processor electrically connected to the communication circuit; and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein, the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to perform operations comprising: controlling the first circuit to operate according to a first power control mode associated with the first communication, and controlling the second circuit to operate according to a second power control mode associated with the second communication when the first communication and the second communication are concurrently performed through the first circuit and the second circuit; identifying a first sleep period during which the first circuit operates in a sleep mode according to the first power control mode, and a second sleep period during which the second circuit operates in the sleep mode according to the second power control mode; and controlling the communication circuit to operate in a deep sleep mode in which the communication circuit operates with power that is less than or equal to a predetermined power in a period where the first sleep period and the second sleep period coincide.

The electronic device of the present disclosure includes a communication interface comprising communication circuitry and a processor configured to establish a direct connection with at least one external electronic device located in operable proximity of the electronic device using the communication interface, to check a predetermined input, to establish a session for connecting the at least one external device to at least one communication network via the electronic device based on the predetermined input, and to connect the at least one external electronic device to the at least one communication network via the electronic device during at least part of the direct connection session.

A screen sharing method for an electronic device is provided. A first device communicates with a second device and shares a first screen. At the first device, a specific image is displayed superposed with the first screen, where the specific image is excluded from the first screen shared with the second electronic device. The second screen is thereafter shared with the second device. An intuitive user interface for editing a shared screen and thereafter sharing the edited screen is thus provided.

A system of communicating between first and second electronic devices, comprises, in a first device, receiving from a second device, voice representative information acquired by the second device, and connection information indicating characteristics of communication to be used in establishing a communication link with the second device. The system compares the voice representative information with predetermined reference voice representative information and in response to the comparison, establishes a communication link with the second device by using the connection information received from the second device.
