Abstract: A liquid crystal display device is provided. A liquid crystal display device comprising: a first substrate and a second substrate opposed to the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate; a lower layer disposed on the first substrate and including at least one contact hole; and a spacer portion disposed on the lower layer, wherein the spacer portion includes a main spacer not overlapping the contact hole and an auxiliary spacer overlapping at least a portion of the contact hole, and a distance between the main spacer and the second substrate is smaller than a distance between the auxiliary spacer and the second substrate.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments relate to a display device, an optical mask, and a method for manufacturing a display device using the same. The light blocking member includes a spacer for maintaining a cell gap between the first substrate and the second substrate and a main light blocking portion having an upper surface that is lower than an upper surface of the spacer, and the light blocking member further includes a furrow at a border between the spacer and the main light blocking portion, the furrow having a surface lower than the upper surface of the main light blocking portion.
