Abstract: A display device includes: a first substrate; a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate; a light blocking pattern disposed on the first substrate; and a column spacer which is disposed on the first substrate and maintains a distance between the first substrate and the second substrate, where the light blocking pattern and the column spacer are spaced apart from each other, and the column spacer has an island shape surrounded by the light blocking pattern.
