Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate comprising a pixel area, a second substrate having a common electrode, and a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first and second substrates, where the first substrate includes a first pixel electrode which is arranged on the pixel area and in which a diamond shaped open unit is defined, and a plate shaped second pixel electrode arranged on the first pixel electrode, the first pixel electrode having first and second sides parallel to one side of the pixel area, third and fourth sides extending from one side of the first and second sides, inclined against the first and second sides, and parallel to each other, and fifth and sixth sides that connect the first and second sides with the third and fourth sides, and are parallel to each other, and the second pixel electrode includes a cross-shaped stem unit.

Abstract: The array substrate for display device includes: a substrate; a signal line disposed on the substrate; a first color filter disposed on one side of the signal line; a second color filter disposed on the other side of the signal line; and an overlapping portion disposed to overlap part of the first color filter and part of the second color filter. The first color filter extends to overlap the signal line and the overlapping portion is disposed on the other side of the signal line so as not to overlap the signal line.
