    Abstract: A method of manufacturing the display apparatus includes: attaching a removable first film to one of an upper surface and a lower surface of a substrate, adjacent to a side surface of the substrate; hydrophilic-treating a first region of the side surface of the substrate, where the side surface includes the first region and a second region; providing an organic film pattern on the first region after the hydrophilic-treating; providing a metal layer on the first region and the second region after forming the organic film pattern; and forming a connection wire by removing the organic film pattern and portions of the metal layer on the first region.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a substrate including a pad area; a plurality of first conductive pads disposed in a matrix form in the pad area in a first direction and in a second direction intersecting the first direction; protrusions disposed on the plurality of first conductive pads; and a plurality of second conductive pads disposed on the plurality of first conductive pads and the protrusions. The plurality of second conductive pads include: contact portions in contact with the first conductive pads; and raised portions configured to extend from the contact portions, to cover the protrusions, and to have heights greater than that of the contact portions. The plurality of second conductive pads include an ultrasonic bondable material.

    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, driving elements disposed in the display area, a plurality of pads disposed in the non-display area and electrically connected to the driving elements, an insulating layer partially disposed on the pads to partially expose the pads, a plurality of signal pads disposed on the pads exposed by the insulating layer and electrically connected to the pads, respectively, and an electronic component including a plurality of driving bumps disposed on the signal pads and electrically connected to the signal pads, respectively. A first portion of a first driving bump of the driving bumps is in direct contact with a first signal pad of the signal pads, and a second portion of the first driving bump is in direct contact with a portion of the insulating layer not overlapping with the first signal pad.
