    摘要: A display device includes: a display unit; a display driver configured to drive the display unit; and a display-data generator configured to transfer a screenful of update display data to the display driver. The display driver includes a light-emission controller configured to control self-luminous elements to emit light, and a memory storing a screenful of the update display data. After a lapse of a predetermined time period from a driving stop time, the display driver reads the update display data stored in the memory and then uses the update display data to drive a screen, the driving stop time being a time when the display unit is stopped from driving based on the update display data. The display driver causes the self-luminous elements of the display unit to emit light, even during a display update or no display update performed on the display driver by the display-data generator.

The electronic device includes a first light emitting device and a second light emitting device having color reproducibility lower than that of the first light emitting device and having a response speed faster than that of the first light emitting device, and a control device includes a light emission control section configured to control light emission of the first light emitting device and light emission of the second light emitting device according to a usage of the electronic device such that a relation between luminance of the first light emitting device and luminance of the second light emitting device satisfies a predetermined condition.

    摘要: A display device includes control electronics and a pixellated liquid crystal (LC) panel. The control electronics receives inputs of main image data for a main image and side image data for a side image. The control electronics outputs combined image data combining the main and side images such that an on-axis viewer perceives from the combined image the main image, and an off-axis viewer perceives from the combined image the side image. The output image data comprises data values chosen from a set of available output data values for the pixels selected from multiple sets of available data values depending on at least on the side image data. For a pixel currently being processed, the output data value is chosen from the selected set of available output data values for which a resulting luminance value is closest to a target luminance value for the current pixel.
