摘要: A processing facility is provided that includes a feedstock separation system configured to separate a feed stream into a lights stream and a heavies stream, a hydrogen production system configured to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide from the lights stream, and a carbon dioxide conversion system configured to produce synthetic hydrocarbons or the carbon dioxide. The processing facility also includes a hydroprocessing system configured to process the heavies stream, and a hydroprocessor separation system configured to separate a hydroprocessing system effluent into a separator tops stream and a separator bottoms stream, wherein the separator bottoms stream is fed to the hydrogen production system.

摘要: According to one more embodiments, presently disclosed are processes for producing petrochemical products from a hydrocarbon material. The process may include separating the hydrocarbon material into at least a lesser boiling point fraction and a greater boiling point fraction, combining steam with the greater boiling point fraction upstream of the cracking of the greater boiling point fraction, cracking at least a portion of the greater boiling point fraction in the presence of a first catalyst to produce a first cracking reaction product, combining steam with the lesser boiling point fraction upstream of the cracking of the lesser boiling point fraction, cracking at least a portion of the lesser boiling point fraction in the presence of a second catalyst to produce a second cracking reaction product, and separating the petrochemical products from one or both of the first cracking reaction product or the second cracking reaction product.

摘要: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, petrochemicals may be produced from crude oil by a process which includes passing the crude oil and hydrogen into a hydroprocessing reactor, separating the hydrotreated oil into a lesser boiling point fraction and a greater boiling point fraction, passing the lesser boiling point fraction to a pyrolysis section of a steam cracker to produce a pyrolysis effluent comprising olefins, aromatics, or both, passing the greater boiling point fraction to a gasifier, where the gasifier produces hydrogen, and passing at least a portion of the hydrogen produced by the gasifier to the hydroprocessing reactor.

摘要: According to an embodiment disclosed, a feedstock hydrocarbon may be processed by a method which may include separating the feedstock hydrocarbon into a lesser boiling point hydrocarbon fraction and a greater boiling point hydrocarbon fraction, cracking the greater boiling point hydrocarbon fraction in a high-severity fluid catalytic cracking reactor unit to form a catalytically cracked effluent, cracking the lesser boiling point hydrocarbon fraction in a steam cracker unit to form a steam cracked effluent, and separating one or both of the catalytically cracked effluent or the steam cracked effluent to form two or more petrochemical products. In one or more embodiments, the feedstock hydrocarbon may include crude oil and one of the petrochemical products may include light olefins.

摘要: Methods for operating a system having two downflow high-severity FCC units for producing products from a hydrocarbon feed includes introducing the hydrocarbon feed to a feed separator and separating it into a lesser boiling point fraction and a greater boiling point fraction. The greater boiling point fraction is passed to the first FCC unit and cracked in the presence of a first catalyst at 500° C. to 700° C. to produce a first cracking reaction product and a spent first catalyst. The lesser boiling point fraction is passed to the second FCC unit and cracked in the presence of a second catalyst at 500° C. to 700° C. to produce a second cracking reaction product and a spent second catalyst. At least a portion of the spent first catalyst or the spent second catalyst is passed back to the first FCC unit, the second FCC unit or both.

摘要: Embodiments provide a method and apparatus for recovering components from a hydrocarbon feedstock. According to at least one embodiment, the method includes supplying a hydrocarbon feedstock to an oxidation reactor, wherein the hydrocarbon feedstock is oxidized in the presence of a catalyst under conditions sufficient to selectively oxidize sulfur compounds and nitrogen compounds present in the hydrocarbon feedstock, separating the hydrocarbons, the oxidized sulfur compounds, and the oxidized nitrogen compounds by solvent extraction, collecting a residue stream that includes the oxidized sulfur compounds and the oxidized nitrogen compound, supplying the residue stream to a fluid catalytic cracking unit, and recycling liquid products produced by the fluid catalytic cracking unit to the oxidation reactor to selectively oxidize sulfur compounds in the liquid products, the portion of the liquids products including at least one of light cycle oils and heavy cycle oils.

摘要: Embodiments provide a method including: supplying the hydrocarbon feedstock to an oxidation reactor, where the hydrocarbon feedstock is oxidized in the presence of a catalyst to selectively oxidize sulfur compounds present in the hydrocarbon feedstock; separating the hydrocarbons and the oxidized sulfur compounds by solvent extraction; collecting a residue stream that includes oxidized sulfur compounds; supplying the residue stream to a gasifier to produce a syngas stream and a hydrogen sulfide stream; supplying the extracted hydrocarbon stream to a stripper to produce a stripped oil stream, which is then supplied to an adsorption column, such that the adsorption column can produce a high purity hydrocarbon product stream, a second residue stream, and a spent adsorbent stream, the spent adsorbent stream containing another portion of the oxidized compounds; and supplying the spent adsorbent stream to the gasifier to produce additional syngas for the syngas stream, thereby disposing of the adsorbent.

According to at least one embodiment, the method includes the steps of (a) supplying a hydrocarbon feedstock to an oxidation reactor, wherein the hydrocarbon feedstock is oxidized in the presence of a catalyst under conditions sufficient to selectively oxidize sulfur and nitrogen compounds present in the hydrocarbon feedstock; (b) separating the hydrocarbons and the oxidized sulfur and nitrogen compounds by solvent extraction; (c) collecting a first residue stream that includes the oxidized sulfur and oxidized nitrogen compounds; (d) supplying the first residue stream to a deasphalting unit; (e) supplying the hydrocarbons to an adsorption column to produce a high purity hydrocarbon product and a second residue stream; and (f) supplying spent adsorbent to the deasphalting unit to remove additional contaminants from the high purity hydrocarbon product in the deasphalting unit.
