    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for compensating I-Q imbalance in a wireless receiver. The receiver may employ a quadrature downconverter configured to receive an RF signal input and output an in-phase component and a quadrature component at an IF, an IF rotation block configured to downconvert the in-phase and quadrature components to baseband and an I-Q correction block configured to compensate for an I-Q imbalance in the received signal, wherein the I-Q correction block is positioned downstream from the IF rotation block in the signal path. Performing the I-Q correction after conversion to baseband may allow the compensation calculations to operate at a reduced digital rate. Similarly, digitally adjusting the gain of the signal prior to I-Q compensation may reduce the number of bits that are manipulated during the compensation process. These features may represent significant efficiencies as compared to I-Q corrections performed at IF.

    Abstract: A method of operating a receiver in a communications system is disclosed. The receiver receives a radio-frequency (RF) data signal and converts the RF data signal to an intermediate frequency. The receiver then determines whether a blocker image interferes with the received data signal, and selectively adjusts the intermediate frequency to which the data signal is converted based on the determination. The receiver may lower the intermediate frequency if the blocker image interferes with the received data signal. The receiver may also deactivate a quadrature chain of the receiver if the blocker image interferes with the received data signal.

In one embodiment, the method comprises reading an operating temperature of the wireless communication device and enabling a loopback path between a transmission circuit and a receiver circuit of the wireless communication device. Using the loopback path, the wireless communication device can calibrate the transmission power output by storing data for compensating the distortion of the transmission power.     Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an apparatus comprising a transceiver having a receiver and a transmitter connected through a segment of a calibration loop back path. The apparatus also comprises a control system configured to communicate with the transceiver. The calibration loop back path has an intentional phase shift that can be toggled between an off state and an on state by the control system.     Abstract: Systems and methods for interference cancellation in a receiver of wireless signals include receiving a signal comprising an aggressor and a desired signal. The received signal is amplified in a low noise amplifier (LNA) to generate an amplified received signal. The aggressor is extracted from the received signal in a feed-forward path between an input of the LNA and an output of the LNA, to generate an extracted aggressor and the extracted aggressor is subtracted from the amplified received signal to provide the desired signal. An amplify and rotate block in the feed-forward path is used to align a phase of the aggressor to a phase of the amplified received signal in order to enable the subtraction.
