Abstract: Various aspects provide a wireless station (STA) to implement congestion sensitive target wake time (TWT) communications scheduling and enable the STA to determine whether to engage in communications between TWT service periods. A method described includes identifying a congestion metric, determining whether the congestion metric meets a congestion threshold, and transmitting a request to establish TWT communications in response to determining that the congestion metric meets the congestion threshold. Another method described includes terminating a scheduled service period of a TWT communications, receiving an indication that a threshold number of frames is available for transmission to an STA from an access point (AP) or an indication that one or more frames are present in a transmission queue at the STA, and transmitting, by the STA to the AP an indication that a communications link is to remain active between the terminated scheduled service period and a subsequent scheduled service period.

Abstract: A system and method for managing communications between an access point (AP) and a plurality of wireless stations (STAs) over a wireless medium. The AP schedules each of the plurality of STAs to access the wireless medium during a target wake time (TWT) service period. During a first portion of the TWT service period, the AP communicates with a first subset of the plurality of STAs using a first signaling technique. During a second portion of the TWT service period, the AP communicates with a second subset of the plurality of STAs using a second signaling technique. The second subset of the plurality of STAs does not include any STAs from the first subset.

Abstract: A method includes generating a paging message at a first device of a data link group of a neighbor aware network (NAN). The paging message includes a paged device list. The paged device list identifies a subset of devices of the data link group, the subset of devices scheduled to receive data from the first device during a transmission window. The paging message includes a receiver address field having a particular receiver address value. The method also includes transmitting, during the paging window, the paging message from to at least one device of the data link group other than the first device.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for detecting a presence of long training fields (LTFs) in packet extensions of high-efficiency (HE) packets. An apparatus requests a length of packet extensions to be used for a ranging operation. The apparatus receives an HE packet including a packet extension containing a selected number of LTFs based at least in part on the requested packet extension length. The apparatus performs the ranging operation based on a determination that the packet extension contains LTFs. In some aspects, the apparatus detects a presence of LTFs in the packet extension based on a bit provided in the HE packet. In some other aspects, the apparatus detects a presence of LTFs in the packet extension by extracting sequences from the packet extension.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for performing ranging operations between a transmitting device and one or more receiving devices using one or more wireless channels. In some implementations, a transmitting device may substantially concurrently exchange, on each of a plurality of wireless channels, a corresponding set of FTM frames and acknowledgement (ACK) frames with a receiving device, and then determine a distance to the receiving device based on the plurality of exchanged sets of FTM and ACK frames. Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for delivering queued downlink (DL) data from a second wireless device to a plurality of first wireless devices. In accordance with example embodiments, the second wireless device may determine, for each of the plurality of first wireless devices, a presence of a corresponding set of queued DL data, may transmit a beacon frame identifying which of the plurality of first wireless devices has queued DL data, and may transmit, to each of the identified first wireless devices, permission to request delivery of queued DL data. Next, the second wireless device may receive, from each of the identified first wireless devices, a request for delivery of the queued DL data. Then, the second wireless device may concurrently transmit, to each of the identified first wireless devices, the corresponding set of queued DL data.

Abstract: A system and method for closely synchronizing the transmission of real-time data streams is described. Synchronization data is transmitted by a cycle master for receipt by one or more cycle slaves. A cycle slave updates an internal state based on synchronization data received from the cycle master. This internal state may govern reproduction of received real-time data streams by the cycle slave. Such synchronization data may be inserted into transmitted media streams. The cycle slave internal state may be more accurately set by calculating timing differences between the cycle master and cycle slave and periodically adjusting that internal state between receipt of the synchronization data from the cycle master.
