Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, information configuring an active bandwidth part (BWP) that does not include a bandwidth associated with one or more of a synchronization signal block (SSB) or a control resource set zero (CS0). The UE may perform, based at least in part on a radio frequency (RF) retune mode, an RF retune to a union bandwidth that covers the active BWP and the bandwidth associated with one or more of the SSB or the CS0. Abstract: To reduce power consumption, a user equipment (UE) may trigger a microsleep in a subframe when a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) does not include a downlink grant. However, because the microsleep depends on the PDCCH not including a downlink grant, the UE cannot trigger the microsleep until after the PDCCH is decoded. Accordingly, in some aspects, a UE may enable an aggressive extra microsleep in which a microsleep duration may be increased by reducing a PDCCH decode time. For example, a UE may use a stale channel estimate and noise estimate from a previous subframe to perform PDCCH demapping when conditions related to a PDCCH block error rate are satisfied. In this way, removing channel estimation and noise estimation from a PDCCH demapping path may reduce the PDCCH decode time, whereby the UE may trigger a microsleep sooner to increase a sleep ratio and thereby increase power savings.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for performing a cell search procedure. For example, the methods and apparatus may include making multiple signal power measurements over multiple bandwidths on a wideband frequency channel, where the signal power measurements may correspond to a signal received on the wideband frequency channel. Further, the methods and apparatus may further include performing a narrowband rejection procedure based on the signal power measurements, where the narrowband rejection procedure may determine whether the signal power measurements correspond to a narrowband signal or a wideband signal. Moreover, the methods and apparatus may also include continuing a wideband cell search procedure on the wideband frequency channel based on the narrowband rejection procedure determining that the signal power measurements correspond to the wideband signal.

Abstract: A wireless communication network includes a user equipment (UE) to receive a set of instructions, from a base station, to perform a simultaneous change of a set of current bandwidth parts (BWPs) to a set of new BWPs in a set of cells. The set of instructions schedules set of slots for the UE to receive and/or transmit a set of downlink and/or uplink signals via the set of new BWPs, respectively. The UE also determines a delay associated with performing the simultaneous change of the set of current BWPs to the set of new BWPs, respectively, and determines whether it is able to receive and/or transmit the set of downlink and/or uplink signals via the set of new BWPs in the set of slots satisfying the delay, respectively. A base station is also included to communicate with the UE to effectuate the aforementioned operation.
