Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for navigating a mobile device based on network connectivity. An aspect includes calculating one or more routes from an origin location to a destination location based on first network connectivity information for a first subscription of a plurality of subscriptions of the mobile device and second network connectivity information for a second subscription of the plurality of subscriptions, providing the one or more routes and an indication of available network connectivity along each portion of the one or more routes based on the first and second network connectivity information, receiving a selection of one of the one or more routes, and setting, based on the first network connectivity information, the first subscription as an active subscription for the mobile device for a first portion of the selected route.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for smart power saving at a user equipment (UE), comprising a first and second transmit chain. According to aspects, the UE may identify one or more subframes in which the second transmit chain is not scheduled for uplink (UL) transmissions, determine the first transmit chain is scheduled for UL transmissions during at least a portion of the identified subframes, and perform envelope tracking (ET) for a scheduled uplink transmission using, at least portions of the first and second transmit chains during the determined at least a portion of the identified subframes.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) are described. A UE may be operating in a downlink carrier (DL) carrier aggregation (CA) mode, which may include a first component carrier and a second carrier component of a set of component carriers. The UE may determine the second component carrier satisfies throughput requirements associated with an uplink (UL) data transmission. The UE may determine, a transmission current consumption relationship between the first component carrier and the second component carrier. The UE may determine, based on the transmission current consumption relationship, whether to switch the anchor carrier from the first component carrier to the second component carrier. When the UE determined to switch the anchor carrier, the UE may modify a measurement report to satisfy a condition for switching the anchor carrier from the first component carrier to the second component carrier.

Abstract: Techniques for reducing the impact of specific absorption rate (SAR) based on a transmit power back-off value in multi-antenna mobile devices are provided. An example mobile device includes a first radio frequency resource associated with first specific absorption information, a second radio frequency resource associated with second specific absorption information, and a processor configured to generate a first signal associated with a first quality of service, generate a second signal associated with a second quality of service, cause the first signal to be transmitted over one of the first radio frequency resource and the second radio frequency resource based at least in part on the first specific absorption information and the second specific absorption information, and cause the second signal to be transmitted over whichever of the first radio frequency resource and the second radio frequency resource is not used to transmit the second signal.

Abstract: In an aspect, a wearable apparatus obtains information indicating that a user of the wearable apparatus is to input secure information (e.g., a personal identification number (PIN)). The wearable apparatus disables, in response to the obtained information, one or more sensors of the wearable apparatus that are capable of tracking hand movements of the user. For example, disabling the one or more sensors of the wearable apparatus prevents the one or more sensors from generating sensor data that can comprise the secure information. In an aspect, the wearable apparatus enables the one or more sensors of the wearable apparatus when the user has completed the input of the secure information, when the user is no longer proximate to a secure data entry point, or when a signal indicating to enable the one or more sensors of the wearable apparatus is received from a client apparatus.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, and computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for managing Internet of Things (IoT) devices. In one aspect, a processor of a smart meter device may determine a predicted reliability of electrical power. In some implementations, the processor may detect a predicted reliability of restored electrical power following a power outage. The processor may send an indication of the predicted reliability of the electrical power to an IoT device to enable the IoT device to perform an action based on the predicted reliability of the electrical power.
