Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a network node. The apparatus may send, to an IRS, a first configuration for each candidate of a first set of candidates, the first set of candidates including different combinations of a first set of radial distances and a first set of azimuths. The apparatus may communicate an RS with a UE via the IRS after each configuration is sent to the IRS. The apparatus may determine an RSRP of each communicated RS for each candidate of the first set of candidates. The apparatus may send a second configuration to the IRS, the second configuration being based on the determined RSRP.

Abstract: Positioning methods suitable for use in a wireless network that utilizes beamformed communication are disclosed. In an aspect, a range and/or granularity for reporting a reference signal timing difference (RSTD) may be configurable according to one or more beam parameters (e.g., a repetition factor, a beam shape, a frequency band, a subcarrier spacing numerology, a cyclic prefix, etc.). In another aspect, a transmitting node may transmit one or more parameters associated with a beam used to transmit a positioning reference signal (e.g., an angle of departure, a zenith of departure, a beamwidth, etc.). According to another aspect, a cyclic prefix length for a positioning reference signal that a transmitting node transmits via one or more beams may be configured to increase a number of neighbor cells visible to a receiving node.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to dynamic antenna array reconfiguration and signaling in millimeter wave bands. A user equipment (UE) may detect an antenna array change condition. The UE may transmit a request for beam training for an antenna array configuration in response to the detecting. The request for beam training may include a requested antenna array configuration for the UE and an indication of beam weights to use with the requested antenna array configuration. A base station may determine whether to grant or deny the requested antenna array configuration for the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of an antenna array configuration for the UE. The base station may transmit the number of reference signals as a set of contiguous channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS). The UE may train the reconfigured active antenna array configuration based on the reference signals.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide systems and techniques for full-duplex communication. A first system is characterized by techniques for communicating in full-duplex utilizing the Butler matrix beamformer for generating a spatial beam to be used for both uplink and downlink signaling, wherein the signaling utilizes the same time and frequency resources. A second system is characterized by techniques for communicating in full-duplex utilizing the Butler matrix beamformer to generate two spatial beams, one to be used for downlink and one to be used for uplink signaling, wherein the signaling utilizes the same time and frequency resources. Accordingly, the systems and techniques described herein are directed to low complexity, multi-user full-duplex communications.

In another aspect, the apparatus may transmit the first information associated with the correlation to a plurality of nodes.

Abstract: The base station that is configured to transmit in a beamformed manner may set different transmission rates for different directions of the beams. During an initial access stage, the base station may determine how densely user equipments are located in various regions surrounding the base station, and may assign more beams for transmission of an initial access signal in an area with more UEs. The apparatus may be a base station. The base station divides a region surrounding the base station into a plurality of sub-regions, where one region of the plurality of sub-regions covers a greater area than at least one other region of the plurality of sub-regions. The base station assigns each beam of a plurality of beams of the base station to a respective sub-region of the plurality of sub-regions. The base station transmits at least one initial access signal in each direction of the plurality of beams using a respective beam of the plurality of beams, each direction of the plurality of beams corresponding to a respective sub-region of the plurality of sub-regions.

The RIS may receive the spatially multiplexed communication from the transmitter. The RIS may transmit the spatially multiplexed communication to the receiver in accordance with the weight vector.
