Abstract:
The invention relates to a positive-working colored photosensitive recording material for the production of a color test image, composed of a temporary layer carrier, a photosensitive layer containing dyestuff or pigment, binder and quinonediazide compound and an adhesive layer which can be activated by means of heat, wherein a release layer based on polyvinyl alcohol is present on the surface of the temporary layer carrier, the photosensitive layer comprises, as the quinonediazide compound, an esterification product of a compound containing one or more phenolic hydroxyl groups and o-quinonediazide-sulfonyl chloride, and, as the binder, a novolak-free phenolic polymer resin and/or a reaction product of the phenolic polymer resin with a monoisocyanate, and the adhesive layer compresses a alkali-insoluble organic polymer and an alkali-soluble polyester. The invention also relates to a process for the production of a color test image using the recording material described.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a radiation-sensitive material comprising A) a multilayer support material, B) a colored photopolymerizable layer, and C) an adhesive layer. The multilayer support material consists of at least two sheet-form materials, which are bonded to one another in such a way that the adhesion between the two sheet-form materials is less than the adhesion between the radiation-sensitive layer and the adjacent support material. The invention furthermore relates to a process in which a colored image, in particular a multicolored image comprising a plurality of primary-color images, is produced on an image-receiving material. The color images are produced by laminating a colored photopolymerizable layer onto the image-receiving material, exposing the material under the relevant master, in particular a color separation, developing the image by peeling-off the support film from the photopolymerizable layer together with the non-image areas, and, if desired, repeating the same steps with a photopolymerizable layer in a different color.

Abstract:
A photopolymerizable material having(A) a flexible, transparent film support;(B) a colored, polymerizable layer containing an organic binder, a free-radical-polymerizable compound, containing at least one terminal ethylenically unsaturated group, and a dye or colored pigment;(C) an adhesion layer containing a thermoplastic polymer and having a T.sub.g of from 25.degree. to 100.degree. C.; and(D) an uncolored photopolymerizable layer which contains a polymeric organic binder, a free-radical-polymerizable compound containing at least one terminal ethylenically unsaturated group and a photopolymerization initiator between the film support (A) and the colored polymerizable layer (B),where the cohesion of layers (B), (C) and (D) and the adhesion of these layers to one another and to the film support (A) provides the relationship wherein the adhesion (a.sub.2) of the photopolymerizable layer (D) to the colored layer (B) in the unexposed state is lower than: (i) the adhesion (a.sub.3) of the colored layer (B) to the adhesion layer (C); (ii) the adhesion (a.sub.1) of the photopolymerizable layer (D) to the film support (A); and (iii) the cohesion (c.sub.1), (c.sub.2) and (c.sub.3) of layers (D), (B) and (C) and the adhesion (a.sub.3 ') of the colored layer (B) to the adhesion layer (C) in the exposed state is lower than: (i) the adhesion (a.sub.1 ') of the photopolymerized layer (D) to the film support (A); (ii) the adhesion (a.sub.2 ') of the photopolymerized layer (D) to the colored layer (B); and (iii) than the cohesion (c.sub.1 '), (c.sub.2 ') and (c.sub.3 ') of layers (D) , (B) and (C). The material is processed by "peel-apart" development and yields color images with lower background discoloration.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a novel photosensitive recording material and a method for using the recording material in the production of planographic printing plates. The recording material comprises a support and a negative-working photosensitive layer that contains a diazonium salt polycondensation product as the photosensitive compound and, in addition, a colorless inorganic pigment which is insoluble in water and organic solvents and which has an average particle diameter from 1 to 20 .mu.m. The pigment is present in a quantity from 0.01 to 2% by weight, relative to the non-volatile constituents of the layer, and is evenly distributed in the layer. Due to the pigment content, a rough layer surface is formed, which has the effect of reducing the time required for creating a vacuum in a vacuum frame into which the recording material is mounted. The presence of the pigment in the layer also produces an improved tonal rendering in the print obtained.
