Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element. The capacitor element includes an electrode group including an anode body, a cathode body, a separator, and an electrolyte layer. The anode body and the cathode body each has a foil shape. The anode body has a dielectric layer on a surface of the anode body. The electrolyte layer is in contact with the anode body, the cathode body, and the separator. The electrolyte layer contains a conductive polymer and a hydroxyl group-containing compound having a melting point of 50° C. or higher. The hydroxyl group-containing compound is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a sugar and a polyhydric alcohol. The hydroxyl group-containing compound is unevenly distributed more in a peripheral portion of the capacitor element than in a central portion of the capacitor element.

And the capacitor element is impregnated with the electrolyte solution. The cathode foil includes a covering layer that contains at least one metal selected from titanium and nickel or a compound of the at least one metal. And the solid electrolyte layer contains a conductive polymer, a polymer dopant, and a base component.

Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element. Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor includes wound body, a solid electrolyte layer, and resin layer. Wound body is formed by winding a positive electrode member having a surface with a dielectric film thereon and a negative electrode member. The solid electrolyte layer is formed by impregnating wound body with a dispersion of a conductive polymer or a solution of a conductive polymer, and then drying the dispersion or the solution with which wound body is impregnated. Resin layer covers at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of wound body.

Abstract: A seat-plate-mounted capacitor includes a capacitor body and a seat plate. The capacitor body includes a case and a sealing member. The case includes a tubular part and a bottom wall that closes a first end of the tubular part. The sealing member closes a second end of the tubular part that is opposite to the first end. The capacitor body is disposed so that the sealing member is adjacent to the seat plate. The seat plate includes a base part and a support wall. The tubular part has an annular recess surrounding the tubular part, a first maximum diameter portion disposed closer to the bottom wall than the annular recess is, and a second maximum diameter portion disposed closer to the second end than the annular recess is. A diameter A of the first maximum diameter portion, a diameter B of the second maximum diameter portion, and an inner diameter C of the support wall satisfy a relation A>C>B, in a state that the capacitor body is not installed in the seat plate.

Abstract: A method for producing an electrolytic capacitor, the electrolytic capacitor including a capacitor element including an anode body and a cathode body each having a foil shape. The anode body includes a dielectric layer on a surface of the anode body. The method includes a step of forming a capacitor element precursor by winding or stacking a separator, the anode body, and the cathode body with the separator interposed between the anode body and the cathode body, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a treatment liquid containing an acid component, a solvent, and a conductive polymer component, a step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with a liquid component after the step of impregnating the capacitor element precursor with the treatment liquid, and a step of forming the capacitor element by eluting the acid component into the liquid component.

The capacitor element includes an anode foil with a dielectric layer, and a cathode foil. The solid electrolyte layer is provided between the anode foil and the cathode foil. The capacitor element is impregnated with the liquid substance that includes a solvent and a solute. The solute contains at least one selected from the group consisting of an acid component, a nitro compound, and a phenol compound. The cathode foil includes a covering layer that contains at least one selected from the group consisting of titanium, nickel, a compound including titanium, and a compound including nickel. And the solid electrolyte layer contains a conductive polymer and a base component.
