Abstract: A power storage device (battery) includes: an outer covering can in a bottomed cylindrical shape, the outer covering can accommodating an electrode body; and a sealing member that closes an opening of the outer covering can. The sealing member includes a sealing plate and a reinforcing plate that is disposed on an outer peripheral side of the sealing plate, the reinforcing plate being joined with the sealing plate at a boundary extending in a thickness direction of the sealing plate, and the reinforcing plate is made of a member having a rigidity higher than rigidity of the sealing plate.

Abstract: An electricity storage device includes a case, an electricity storage element, a lead, and a sealing member. The sealing member includes an insulative gasket including a base, and an electrically conductive sealing plate. The sealing plate includes a displaceable part provided with a protrusion protruding toward the electricity storage element. The base is disposed between the sealing plate and the electricity storage element. The base includes a through hole. The protrusion is inserted into the through hole. The lead includes a folded part formed by welding at least double and being joined by at least one weld-deposited part. The protrusion and the folded part of the lead are connected to each other. The protrusion is displaced in a direction away from the lead in response to an increase of an internal pressure of the case so as to be disconnected from the lead.

Abstract: An electricity storage device to be disclosed includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode and a second electrode; a can accommodating the electrode assembly and including a bottomed tubular shape with an opening provided at one end; and a sealing material joined to the one end of the can to seal the opening. The sealing material includes a first ring that is conductive, a second ring that is conductive and joined to the first ring, a terminal plate that is conductive provided between the first ring and the second ring, and an insulation ring insulating the first ring and the second ring from the terminal plate. An outer peripheral edge of the terminal plate is held between the first ring and the second ring with the insulation ring being put therebetween.

The discharge device includes a swelling member, a movable switch, and a discharge switch. When the swelling member swells, the movable switch is moved. When the movable switch is moved, the discharge switch is turned on. A signal indicating that the discharge switch is turned on is transmitted to the controller to cause the battery to start discharging of electricity.

Abstract: A cell module includes a plurality of cells that each have a cylindrical shape and include a positive-electrode terminal and a negative-electrode terminal disposed on one end of the cell. The plurality of cells make up a cell block where the one ends are oriented in an identical direction, and cells adjacent to each other are aligned in rows, on the one ends of the plurality of cells, a plate having electrical insulating properties is disposed, the plate is provided with a hole that causes the one end of each of the cells to be exposed and is further provided with a plurality of conductive members on a surface of the plate distant from the cells, the conductive members extend along the rows of the cells aligned, two of the conductive members are disposed for each cell block and include terminal connectors electrically connected to terminals, having identical polarity, of the cells in each cell block, and the other terminals are connected with the terminal connectors through the connection intervening member.

Abstract: In an electricity storage system where each of electricity storage modules includes cells that are bound in a state where the cells are stacked in a row. A management device acquires detection values from sensors that are respectively mounted on the electricity storage modules so as to detect expansion or contraction of the cells in a stacking direction. The management device is configured to compare a detection value acquired from the sensor mounted on one electricity storage module to be inspected and detection values acquired from the sensors mounted on other electricity storage modules, and to detect an abnormality in one of the cells included in the one electricity storage module to be inspected.
