Abstract:
A haptic feedback device includes: a determination unit which calculates, as a path length, a length along which a user touches the touch panel; a display control unit which converts the path length into a rotation angle of a manipulation image, and display the rotated manipulation image on a display unit; and a vibration control unit which drives a vibration unit according to a drive waveform having a predetermined amplitude and a predetermined frequency upon starting rotation of the manipulation image, decreases the amplitude of the drive waveform with an increase in the path length, and performs control to cause the vibration unit to vibrate according to the drive waveform the amplitude of which is decreased to zero in a predetermined time after the rotation of the manipulation image stops.
Abstract:
A signal detection device includes a measurer, an arithmetic operation unit, and signal period detector, and detects information such as a cardiac cycle with high accuracy by causing resonance of only a signal such as a heartbeat, the signal having strong pulse characteristics. The measurer measures a signal. The arithmetic operation unit performs nonlinear arithmetic operation processing for amplifying a pulse-like component of the signal measured by the measurer and suppressing a component other than the pulse-like component of the signal measured by the measurer. The signal period detector detects a periodic signal from an output of the arithmetic operation unit.
Abstract:
A cardiac potential detection device for detecting R-waves from an electrocardiographic waveform includes a plurality of electrodes, a detector, and a control unit. The detector detects an input voltage applied from the electrodes. The control unit identifies an R-wave based on the input voltage detected by the detector, but suspends identifying R-waves in a detection-suspension period including a period in which the input voltage exceeds a predetermined threshold.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a panel which a user touches, a detector that detects the touch of the user on the panel, a vibrator that vibrates the panel, and a signal generator. The signal generator generates a signal for driving the vibrator, the signal including a drive signal that generates vibration of the panel and a suppression signal that suppresses inertial vibration of the panel. The suppression signal has a degree of suppression the inertial vibration that changes depending on a touch position detected by the detector.
Abstract:
An assessment device (10) includes a camera (12) that captures an image showing a component to which a target object is attached to cover the surface of the component, a distance measuring sensor (13) that measures the distance to the component, and an information processor (16). The information processor (16) performs: a first process of assessing whether the target object attached to the component is a predetermined object meant to be attached to the component by applying a first assessment model to the image captured by the camera (12) while the distance measured by the distance measuring sensor (13) is within a first distance range; and a second process of assessing whether the target object is in acceptable condition by applying a second assessment model to the image captured by the camera (12) while the distance measured by the distance measuring sensor (13) is within a second distance range.
Abstract:
A translation device is configured to translate from a first language into a second language and includes a first language acquisition unit, a polyseme processor, and a first language output unit. The first language acquisition unit acquires a sentence in the first language. The polyseme processor determines whether or not a word in the second language for a word in the first language included in the sentence is a polyseme, and acquires a plurality of candidate meanings for the word in the second language when the word in the second language is determined as a polyseme. The first language output unit outputs the plurality of candidate meanings.
Abstract:
A respiration rate determining apparatus includes: an obtaining unit which obtains accelerations in directions that are mutually different, the accelerations being obtained by an acceleration sensor measuring a body movement by respiration of a user; a transform unit which transforms the accelerations in the directions obtained by the obtaining unit, into spectrum information items in a frequency domain; a phase removing unit which transforms the spectrum information items into amplitude spectra by removing phase information from the spectrum information items; a peak detector which adds up the amplitude spectra and detects a peak frequency based on an amplitude spectrum resulting from the adding up, the peak frequency indicating a respiratory component; and a respiration rate calculator which calculates a respiration rate using the peak frequency.
Abstract:
A description support device for displaying information on a topic to be checked in an utterance by a user, the description support device includes: an inputter to acquire input information indicating an utterance sentence corresponding to the utterance; a controller to generate information indicating a check result of the topic for the utterance sentence; and a display to display information generated by the controller, wherein the display is configured to display a checklist indicating whether or not the topic is described in the utterance sentence indicated by the input information sequentially acquired by the inputter, and wherein the display is configured to display, according to a likelihood of each utterance sentence, display information including the utterance sentence, the likelihood defining the check result of the topic in the checklist.
